Everyday Birthday

It’s showtime! Swizz Beatz brings the party to life on his club banger “Everyday Birthday.” The super-producer celebrates with Chris Brown and Ludacris over the throbbing production, written and produced by Jukebox (“Whip My Hair”). A video was shot over the summer in Cannes, France, and will debut this Sunday on MTV2 (watch the trailer).

“I was inspired to do a song that people can listen to every day and celebrate life, just have fun,” said Swizz. “When you wake up, you’re born again so every day is your birthday!!”

Swizz Beatz lives the fast life in the trailer for “Everday Birthday” featuring Chris Brown and Ludacris. The Taj TPK-directed clip was shot over the summer in Cannes, France, and features exotic cars, sexy women, and lots of energy.

Rest of My Life

Ludacris switches lanes on his brand new single “Rest of My Life.” Following the release of “Jingalin’” and “Representin” with Kelly Rowland, the Atlanta rapper teams with Usher and David Guetta on the dance floor-ready record, for which a video has already been shot.

“Got somewhere to go, but the world is moving slow/ I was born for the fast life,” croons Usher before the fist-pumping beat kicks in.

The song will be available on iTunes tomorrow and is set to appear on Ludacris’ upcoming album Ludaversal, due early next year.

Rest of My Life

With “Representin” featuring Kelly Rowland still burning up airwaves, Ludacris gets ready to launch his next single. The Atlanta rapper shakes up the dance floor with Usher and DJ David Guetta on “Rest of My Life.”

The song will debut tomorrow at 8 a.m. EST on Ludaversal.com and hit iTunes on November 2. A video was shot earlier this month.

Ludacris and Kelly Rowland sizzle on screen in the video for “Representin,” the Rico Love and Jim Jonsin-produced single off Luda’s upcoming album Ludaversal, coming in 2013.

In the Christopher Simms-directed clip, a gorgeous Kelly plays pool in her stilettos as Luda smokes a cigar and looks on. He gets behind the wheel of his Ford GT while Kelly rides shotgun.

The sexy co-stars also show off their chemistry in the studio, on the basketball court (ladies, check out a shirtless Luda), and on the back of a motorcycle. Feel the heat.

Ludacris and Kelly Rowland join forces in the video for “Representin,” and from the looks of it, they’re already having a ball.

Luda took to Twitter to give fans a sneak peek of the visuals, which also feature an appearance from producer Rico Love.

“Me and the beautiful @kellyrowland #Representin Video going down right now… Stay Tuned!” Luda shared with a photo of himself and the “Motivation” singer in a souped-up car.

“Representin” is the second single off Ludacris’ upcoming album Ludaversal, due in early 2013. The seductive number, which premiered on radio in late August, was produced by Rico Love and the prolific Jim Jonsin.

Jay-Z and Ludacris Debut Cognac Commercials

Jay-Z and Ludacris drink to the good life in two new commercials for their favorite cognacs.

In his spot for D’USSE, the Brooklyn rapper smokes a cigar in slow motion while enjoying the NYC skyline before reaching for his luxury cognac. Luda’s commercial, directed by actor Larenz Tate and featuring former Danity Kane member D. Woods, is less understated and features the rapper enjoying a classy night out with a group of friends.

“It was a pleasure working with my good friend Chris Bridges on the Conjure commercial,” said Tate. “It feels good to work alongside people you respect. I hope my vision as a director gives the world a glimpse of the new level that Chris is taking his cognac brand. Cheers!”

Ludacris Hits the Studio with M.I.A.

Ludacris and M.I.A.

Ludacris and M.I.A. are cooking up a collaboration. The two linked up over the weekend to work on an undisclosed track, potentially for Luda’s upcoming album Ludaversal. The ATL rapper rocked a white tee and Africa-shaped chain, while M.I.A. kept warm in a furry coat.

“Wonder what would happen if u put Luda & M.I.A. In the studio. Hhhmmmmm,” tweeted Luda.

Ludaversal is due early next year featuring the singles “Jingalin’” and the Kelly Rowland-assisted “Representin,” which debuted at No. 74 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week. He also shot a video for a new record with Usher last month.

Meanwhile, M.I.A. will release her first book on October 23. The 192-page M.I.A. documents the career and one-of-a-kind style of the Grammy-nominated artist through 300 images and several unpublished testimonies.
