New Music: Game f/ Lupe Fiasco – ‘Skate On’

Game and Lupe Fiasco

Game rolls past the bullshit on the Lupe Fiasco-assisted “Skate On,” a leftover from his R.E.D. Album recording sessions. The Infamous-produced track will appear on the Compton rapper’s DJ Skee-hosted mixtape California Republic, which drops tomorrow.

“Lupe skates and I thought it would be cool to kind of take that and make it reverse psychology,” Game told Rap-Up TV. “You know when some bullshit’s about to jump off and somebody’s like, ‘Yo, I think we better skate?’ It’s kinda like that. … Lupe kicks this 20-bar verse that’s like crazy.”

Game is gearing up for the release of his fifth album FIVE: Fear Is Victory’s Evolution, due later this year.

Angels & Stars

“I’ve been working a lot with Tinie and with Lupe, and [producer] iSHi and I decided we wanted to do a song with both Tinie and Lupe on it,” explained Turner. “It would be one of the first songs where you got one of the biggest rappers in America together with the biggest rapper in England.
