Mario flexes his rhyming skills on his rap-sung remix to Drake and Lil Wayne’s “The Motto” off his upcoming mixtape Truth Be Told. “Now she want a photo, you already know though/ Your bitch chose me and I ain’t even want her,” sings Baltimore native, who will release his fifth album this year featuring production from Rico Love (“The Walls”), The Monsters, Young Yonny, and The Underdogs.

Mario takes it back to the bedroom on “The Walls” featuring Fabolous, the first single from his upcoming fifth album. The ladies’ man makes his lady act out of character on the seductive jam, written and produced by Rico Love.

“It’s an incredible R&B record. It’s classic, it’s definitely going to stand out from everything that’s going on,” Mario told Rap-Up TV. “It really pays homage to women who are comfortable with being sexy outside and they’re sexy with their men when they get home.”

Added Rico Love, “It’s just some classic R&B, just some fly music. Something to reemerge Mario in the scene. I’m very confident with the record. I believe it’s going to be a big record.”

Mario’s as-yet-untitled album, featuring production from The Monsters, Young Yonny, and The Underdogs, is 90 percent complete and he anticipates a November or January release.

Mario is ready to break down “The Walls” with his new music. Rap-Up TV caught up with the R&B crooner on the red carpet at the BMI Urban Awards where he shared details about his new Rico Love-penned single featuring Fabolous, scheduled to drop in the next two weeks.

His as-yet-untitled fifth album, which features production from The Monsters, Young Yonny, and The Underdogs, is 90 percent complete and he anticipates a November or January release. “I’m getting back to the basis of R&B and what I do, being a vocalist and making sure that it’s a lot different from the rest of my projects—making sure it’s classic.”

Also slated to appear on the album is a “club banger” called “Roosevelt (Drop a Dime).” “Hopefully I’ll have Big Sean or Rick Ross on that as a feature,” he added. “It’s gonna be one of the biggest records this year. I promise you that.”

“I’m back to kill the club,” announces Mario on “My Bed,” reportedly the lead offering from his first album in two years. The ladies’ man convinces a girl to get in the sheets on the club-geared production by Chris “Deep” Henderson and Tony “Chef Tone” Scales, using pickup lines such as, “We gon’ have a good time” and “You so hot, you set this club on fire.” Any takers?

The singer plays single mother Sabrina who works at a fast food restaurant in the latest installment in the Madea series. Mario is in the clear. After the singer’s mother claimed that he assaulted her last month, she’s changing her tune, saying he didn’t actually lay a finger on her and was on drugs when she reported the incident to the police.

Shawntia Hardaway, who previously battled a heroin addiction, took the stand yesterday and declared she was under the influence when she accused her son of pushing her against a wall and breaking objects in their Baltimore home.

The 2nd degree assault charge against Mario has been dropped, the Baltimore state attorney’s office told TMZ.

“I’m glad to be finally vindicated,” the 24-year-old tells UsMagazine.com. “I want to thank everyone who believed in me. I will continue to love and support my mother.”

The “Let Me Love You” hitmaker is back in the studio working on a new album for 2011 and will release a mixtape within the next month.

Mario made headlines this morning for his out-of-character behavior. According to TMZ, the 24-year-old R&B singer was arrested and released on $50,000 bond for 2nd degree assault following an altercation with his mother earlier this week at their shared apartment in Baltimore, Md.

Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway told police that her son had gone on a rampage, breaking a mirror, shattering a china cabinet, and putting a hole in the closet door. Following his outburst, Mario allegedly pushed his mother “eight feet into a living room wall, where [she] hit her head on the wall.”

Their mother-son relationship has a history of trouble. The “Dancing with the Stars” contestant confronted his mother’s heroin addiction by staging an intervention in 2007 on MTV’s documentary “I Won’t Love You to Death,” where he allowed cameras to film him trying to get her clean. “I want to give you the gift of life, like you gave me,” he told her.

Lil Jon pays homage to the dark-skinned beauties in the video for “Ms. Chocolate,” his collaboration with R. Kelly and Mario from his Crunk Rock album, due June 8. The Mickey Finnegan-produced clip was shot in Kellz’ Chicago hometown and shows the King of Crunk in rare form.

“You ain’t never seen Lil Jon this clean, smooth, both R&B [and] hip-hop-ish,” he told Rap-Up.com. “It reminds you of one of those old-school Hype Williams videos, where it’s just nice and polished.”

Lil Jon unwraps his latest treat featuring R. Kelly and Mario. “Ms. Chocolate” is the new offering from the King of Crunk’s oft-delayed album Crunk Rock, due June 8. The trio expresses its love for the dark variety on the sweet and smooth confection.
