Fresh off opening for Keyshia Cole and Chrisette Michele on the “Woman to Woman” tour, Mateo debuts the video for his new single “How Good Is Your Love.”

While working a mundane office job, the Cincinnati singer can’t stop thinking about his co-worker. He daydreams about making love to her, but snaps back to reality when his boss, played by producer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, tells him to get back to work.

Mateo is working with Krucial on his upcoming debut, due on Interscope Records.

Mateo has been killing ‘em softly with his acoustic covers and original Christmas songs. Now he takes on Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city cut “Sing About Me” for his cover series of the same name.

The song has been reworked with new verses penned by Mateo and production courtesy of Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Zeke MacUmber.

In the accompanying black-and-white clip, a dapper Mateo walks through an apartment before heading to the rooftop, where he sings as the city lights shine behind him.

Expect more music from Mateo as he gears up to release the first official single from his upcoming Interscope debut.

While we wait for his Interscope Records debut to drop in 2013, Mateo warms us up with some holiday fare. On the original tune “This Xmas (Be My Baby),” the Cincinnati singer-songwriter croons about sharing Christmas with a loved one. In the festive video, Mateo spends the most wonderful time of the year in New York City with his friends including producer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers.

“While recording for the album at the Krucial compound, we got a new camera,” said Mateo. “We took the camera out with us the first night and this is pretty much what happened. New York…Christmas…always gets you in the spirit. Happy holidays, fly world!”

Mateo will perform at the famed SOBs in New York on December 19 and debut another holiday song, “Let It Snow (Xmas Time),” in the coming week.

Mateo invites you into his world with his latest mixtape Suite 823. The R&B singer-songwriter serves up nine tracks including “Carry On,” a duet with Stacy Barthe (“Looking You Up”), and a stripped-down cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans,” with production by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and John Ehmann.

“I decided to create Suite 823 to give my fans a journey into my life. To me, Suite 823 (aka “Thinking of You” in numeral code) is a place where I was able to reflect on past love, fans, and my future,” said Mateo. “Everyone’s Suite 823 looks different and has different content. Mine may look different from time to time, but this mixtape gives a glimpse (for my fans) into my Suite 823.”

Mateo is currently in the studio working on his Interscope Records debut, due this fall.

Produced by Alicia Keys’ longtime collaborator Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Zeke MacUmber for Krucial Noise, the upbeat song features a hopeful message about leaving the past behind and moving on with life. Mateo has inked a deal with Interscope Records, where he will release his full-length debut.
