Video: Machine Gun Kelly – ‘Stereo’

Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly is on the run in the video for his second single “Stereo” featuring Fitts of The Kickdrums. The Bad Boy rapper drives a bus full of female prisoners to jail, while having flashbacks of being pursued by the police. The Colin Tilley-directed clip was shot last year at Fred C. Nelles Youth Correctional Facility in Whittier, Calif.

“We shut the whole thing down, moved all the prisoners in one room … it’s pretty crazy,” the Cleveland native told MTV News. “It’s just a bunch of just badass girls, and we’re all just getting shipped to the correctional facility and we’re just having a bad time. It’s like the music comes on and it kinda cheers us up, kinda just excited and ready to do whatever.”

MGK’s debut Lace Up is due October 9 featuring Young Jeezy, DMX, Bun B, Ester Dean, Waka Flocka Flame, and more.

Rap-Up TV: Machine Gun Kelly and DMX Face Their ‘D3mons’

In addition to collaborations with Young Jeezy, Tech N9ne, Twista, Bun B, and Lil Jon, Machine Gun Kelly got to work with one of his idols, DMX, on a track called “D3mons” off his upcoming debut Lace Up. The Cleveland MC, who previously collaborated with X on his single “I Don’t Dance,” talked about meeting the hip-hop veteran for the first time while standing on top of a table rapping a rare DMX verse.

“It’s very, very dark. It’s very, very DMX and MGK’ish,” the Bad Boy signee told Rap-Up TV of the Dame Grease-produced song. “Obviously I have the ‘Wild Boy’ side, I have the inspirational side, but I also have the very dark side.”

The eery record, which samples the Gladiator soundtrack, was recorded in a dark room. “When [DMX] was rapping, he was punching the air,” said MGK, who wrote his verse while recuperating from “a wild couple months with a certain drug.”

“My mind was talking to myself and I wrote the verse and it turned out to be a really creepy song,” he said.

Machine Gun Kelly and Ester Dean Go One-on-One [Video]

Ester Dean and MGK

Machine Gun Kelly and his “Invincible” collaborator Ester Dean shared their support for one another during a candid conversation following their first performance together on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” last month.

“I’m so happy for you. You know how they go hard for somebody ’cause you know they deserve it?” said the “Drop It Low” singer, who’s readying her Interscope Records debut. “Go hard. This is this boy’s time, so go hard.”

MGK responded with his own form of flattery. “Her voice gives me an erection,” he said.

The Cleveland rapper, whose Bad Boy debut Lace Up is due later this year, was ecstatic to be on TV. “I called my aunt, who’s my only family member I have,” he recalled. “I said, ‘Yo, rub it in my dad’s face that his son’s gonna be on Jay Leno.’”
