Nick Cannon channels Michael Jackson in the teaser for “Famous,” the first single from his upcoming studio album. Mr. Showbiz transforms into the King of Pop from his iconic “Rock With You” video, wearing the glittery suit while dancing in the spotlight. He also plays KISS’ Gene Simmons, Fred Astaire, MC Hammer, Antoine Dodson, and more in the parody clip featuring Akon, which debuts in full next week.

“I’m a huge Michael Jackson fan, so to be in that ‘Rock With You’ costume and have it look exactly like the video was crazy,” the new father tells Rap-Up.com. “When it comes on, you can dance like you famous, drink like you famous, party like you famous.”

Lloyd paid tribute to his idol Michael Jackson at his show with Diddy-Dirty Money in Los Angeles over the weekend. In addition to bringing out surprise guests YG, Nipsey Hussle, and Game, Young Goldie performed a cover of the late King of Pop’s “Rock With You” with his band, later giving it a go acapella. Da Brat’s got a new tat. The So So Def rapper showed her love for Michael Jackson by tatting an iconic image of the King of Pop on her leg. Jermaine Dupri, who posted the pic of the fresh ink, commented on the tribute by writing, “BRAT JUST GOT THIS, SHE MAKING ME WANNA GO.”

A Michael Jackson super fan lives the L.A. dream in the video for “Hollywood Tonight,” a cut off his posthumous release Michael. The clip, which features performance footage of MJ shown on screens and billboards, focuses on an aspiring dancer who heads to the City of Angels where she struggles to survive by waiting tables and stripping. She eventually finds herself by channeling the King of Pop, leading a flash mob on Sunset Boulevard. Head to the Hollywood Hills in the new clip.

Following last year’s release of Michael Jackson’s posthumous album MICHAEL, fans will once again get a chance to show their love for the King of Pop. Sony Music has launched a project on MichaelJackson.com for MJ followers to upload and edit their own clips in a music video contest for his newest single “Behind the Mask,” penned n 1979.

Led by Radical Media and director Dennis Liu, the mash-up competition allows for entrants to select a move, crowd reaction, or lyric, and then use a split-screen template to film themselves doing the moonwalk or other signature MJ moves through their webcam.

Contestants will be able to enter the project beginning on March 7, after which Liu will select the best entries and incorporate them into the final music video.

Not many artists can lay claim to collaborating with a legend before they’ve even gotten their feet wet, but they’re not Marsha Ambrosius. Ten years ago, the English songstress worked alongside Michael Jackson to create “Butterflies,” a hit single off the King of Pop’s Invincible album, and has fond memories from the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
