In his last Darkchild Vlog of the year, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins goes back in time to 1998 when Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine” was No. 1 for 13 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. The producer behind the chart-topper reminisces about the hit that bought him a Bentley and moved him from an apartment into a house. He even addresses the feuding rumors between the two divas (”They didn’t get along”).

Ludacris brought out Monica at the For Sisters Only marketing event in Atlanta to perform their new collaboration “Still Standing.”

Brandy and Monica are both making triumphant returns to the musical scene. It’s like the ’90s all over again. Monica is “Still Standing” on her new empowerment anthem featuring Ludacris and produced by Bryan-Michael Cox. The process of recording her fifth studio album Lessons Learned was documented on her Atlanta reality show, “The Single: Monica.”
