Ne-Yo, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa work hard and play hard in the celebratory video for DJ Felli Fel’s single “Reason to Hate.” The successful crew hits the studio (check out Ne-Yo’s Rihanna sweatshirt) and takes over Supperclub in L.A., popping bottles, smoking (in Wiz’ case), and turning up as the Power 106 DJ works the turntables. Not even a hater can kill this vibe.
David Guetta celebrates all things different in the bizarre video for “Play Hard” featuring Akon and Ne-Yo. The French DJ provides the soundtrack to a rodeo-style dance competition featuring contestants from all walks of life including a group of line-dancing cowboys and dance duo Les Twins.
In the strange sequences, Ne-Yo pours syrup on his pancakes and women parade around Akon in a unibrow beauty contest.
“Shouts to the homie @davidguetta and @Akon. Check for that ‘Play Hard’ video. Strange…but fly! Open your mind…or just dance damnit! Luv!” tweeted Ne-Yo.
The club anthem, which samples Alice DeeJay’s “Better Off Alone,” can be found on Guetta’s 2012 album Nothing But the Beat 2.0.
DJ Felli Fel lets success do the talking on his anthem “Reason to Hate.” The Power 106 DJ enlists the all-star team of Ne-Yo, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa for the club banger. T-Raww raps about his “mansion by Nicki’s crib,” Wiz gets love in the club, and Ne-Yo drives it home with the hook. Haters, chew on this.
The Roc was in the building as Bridget Kelly celebrated her 27th birthday at the 40/40 Club in New York City last night. Friends and family came out to party with the “Special Delivery” singer, including her boss Jay-Z, mother, and fellow Roc girls Rita Ora and Melanie Fiona. Trey Songz, Adrienne Bailon, Timbaland, and Ne-Yo sipped D’USSE cocktails and snacked on red velvet cake.
“Love my boo ritaora too much fun last night,” tweeted Bridget, who posed for a photo with her labelmate.
Bridget’s debut is due later this year featuring Shea Taylor, Jerry Wonda, Ne-Yo, The-Dream, and Kendrick Lamar, who appears on the single “Street Dreamin.’”

Jessica Sanchez and Ne-Yo lit up the stage with an electrifying performance on “American Idol’s” results show last night. The “Idol” alum and R&B superstar teamed up for the first performance of Sanchez’ dance-pop single “Tonight,” earning them a standing ovation from judges Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson.
The 17-year-old singer will release her debut Me, You & the Music on April 30 via 19 Recordings/Interscope Records.

From Compound University comes Ne-Yo’s newest student, RaVaughn. The R&B newcomer, who is signed to Ne-Yo’s label, stepped into the spotlight while shooting a video for her debut single “Better Be Good” in Los Angeles. Rap-Up TV was on set as she kicked her man to the curb in the TAJ-directed clip, which features Wale.
“I’m going through this rough patch with my boyfriend and I’m trying to work it out, trying to get it all together,” said the L.A. songstress. “He tells me he wants to go out. I’m hanging with my girls and they’re like, ‘We gotta go to this party. I’m like, ‘No, I’ma try to work it out with my boo.’”
She ends up going to the house party where she runs into her boyfriend, who is there with another girl. But that won’t stop her from having a good time. She breaks into a dance sequence with her girls as the crowd cheers her on.
RaVaughn’s Compound University/Columbia Records debut Love Always is due this summer featuring appearances from Ne-Yo and Marsha Ambrosius.
The full video for “Better Be Good” will premiere on Thursday, February 21.
Prior to Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game, Ne-Yo got the crowd and the players pumped up with an energetic performance. The R&B gentleman kicked off the festivities with a medley of “Let’s Go,” “Let Me Love You,” and “Forever Now” as the East and West teams were introduced. He worked up a sweat on stage and changed his wardrobe multiple times during the dance-heavy set.
But his performance wasn’t well received by everyone. He fired back at those who criticized his vocals.
“Shout out to those showing love. Everybody has an off day….all good. Fuck any and all haters. Talk it while I live it bitches!!!” tweeted Ne-Yo.
