N.E.R.D. brings the party to the desert in the video for “Hot-N-Fun,” the summertime single from their fourth album Nothing (Sept. 7). Pharrell, Chad, and Shae pick up some scantily-clad hitchhikers while cruising the California highway in a one-of-a-kind painted Rolls-Royce. They reach their destination where more girls wait to party with the rock stars. Nelly Furtado also makes a fiery appearance in the Jonas Åkerlund-directed clip.

Who else can rock fur in the summertime and still look cool? Pharrell makes a fashion statement in the desert in the preview for N.E.R.D.’s “Hot-N-Fun” video, dedicated to the girls of summer. Nelly Furtado, who has recruited The Neptunes for her next album, adds her part to the Jonas Åkerlund-directed clip. Look for the band’s new album Nothing in September.

Rap-Up TV: N.E.R.D. and Rhea Rock Activision E3 Preview Event

N.E.R.D. also rocked Activision’s multi-million dollar E3 preview party. Following a pole dancer, Pharrell, Chad, and Shae performed “Lapdance” and “Hot-N-Fun” against the digital city backdrop of Hong Kong. Skateboard P is contributing to the soundtrack for the video game True Crime: Hong Kong.

The band also took the opportunity to launch Rhea’s career. N.E.R.D.’s former first lady debuted “My Motorcycle,” her song featured in the game, with a sultry performance choreographed by JaQuel Knight (“Single Ladies”).

Eminem, Usher, and N.E.R.D. Shake Up Activision E3 Preview Event

Activision turned the Staples Center in Los Angeles into a giant entertainment playground on Monday night (June 14). The video game maker set a new bar for corporate events with their lavish Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2010 preview concert, reportedly costing $6 million.

The company previewed trailers for their fall video game lineup, accompanied by an all-star soundtrack from Usher, will.i.am, N.E.R.D., David Guetta, Jane’s Addiction, Chris Cornell, and Eminem (with special guests Rihanna and Travis Barker), who performed blockbuster sets complete with elaborate lighting, pyro, pole dancers, church choirs, and a symphony.

Now that’s what we call a show!

Hot-N-Fun with Pharrell and Victoria’s Secret Bombshells

All the models at the Victoria’s Secret “What Is Sexy?” party, celebrating the 2010 Bombshell Edition list, wanted “Hot-N-Fun.” Pharrell, along with N.E.R.D. bandmates Chad and Shae, walked the pink carpet in a pinstriped denim jacket, camouflage shorts, and a rainbow monogrammed Louis Vuitton backpack at the fifth annual event held at Drai’s Hollywood on Tuesday (May 11).

On Set of N.E.R.D.’s ‘Hot-N-Fun’ Video

Pharrell, Chad, and Shae aka N.E.R.D. cruised through the desert in an old-school painted Rolls-Royce looking for chicks in the bohemian-chic video for “Hot-N-Fun,” the first single from their fourth album Nothing (due July 6).

The colorful clip was shot over the weekend in Lancaster, Calif., with “Telephone” director Jonas Åkerlund. The call sheet said “to bring a lot of water and to watch out for snakes.” Check out Pharrell’s furry fashion!

First Look at N.E.R.D.’s ‘Nothing’ Album

For some reason, it just wouldn’t seem right to go the whole night at N.E.R.D.’s album listening session without seeing a Billionaire Boys Club sweatshirt on a club patron. It only took three minutes to validate this point at New York City’s upscale venue Avenue as the sounds of Nothing, N.E.R.D.’s latest studio effort, played for a crowd of tastemakers.
