Nick Cannon spread love to fans entering Citi Field in New York on Friday. The 92.3 NOW radio host attempted to break the world record for most hugs in one hour. He embraced everyone from kids and adults to men in drag and pets. Despite his noble effort, he fell 52 short of the world record of 1,698 hugs.

“52 off!” said a disappointed Nick. “We’ve got to do it again. I felt like if we had started a little later and closer to the door, we would have got it.”

But his efforts didn’t go unrewarded. For every hug he gave, a toy was donated to the Mets Care Room at the New York Hospital of Queens.

Mariah Carey returned to television for the first time since giving birth to her twins. The new mom spoke about her babies and got a visit from husband Nick Cannon while launching her new lifestyle collection on HSN.

During the live chat, Mimi showed off the floral fashions inspired by her visits to Capri and joked about the name for her fragrance Lollipop Bling. “No, I didn’t select that name,” she said. “Sorry, it was something I couldn’t undo. It wasn’t my favorite name but people love it.”

She also plugged her latest fragrance collection named after her songs. “There’s a version with a very popular singer named Trey Songz and we kinda did a duet with this song,” she said of “Inseparable.” “So it’s ironic that I have this remix of the song ‘Inseparable’ and I think my label Universal Records should put it out.”

Nick paid his wife a visit and the proud parents gushed about their twins Monroe and Morrocan. “I believe our son looks just like Mariah and I think our daughter looks like me,” said Nick.

Nick Cannon aims for the laughs with the parody video for “Famous,” the Akon-assisted single from his forthcoming album. The comedian-rapper imitates icons including Michael Jackson, KISS’ Gene Simmons, Fred Astaire, and MC Hammer, as well as those with fleeting fame such as “Bed Intruder” Antoine Dodson and “Golden Voice” Ted Williams.

“I always say, everybody in a nightclub is famous. Everybody getting their shine on, everybody ballin’,” Nick tells Rap-Up.com. “It’s one of those songs that when it comes on, you can dance like you famous, drink like you famous, party like you famous.”

Mr. Showbiz transforms into the King of Pop from his iconic “Rock With You” video, wearing the glittery suit while dancing in the spotlight. He also plays KISS’ Gene Simmons, Fred Astaire, MC Hammer, Antoine Dodson, and more in the parody clip featuring Akon, which debuts in full next week.

“I’m a huge Michael Jackson fan, so to be in that ‘Rock With You’ costume and have it look exactly like the video was crazy,” the new father tells Rap-Up.com. “When it comes on, you can dance like you famous, drink like you famous, party like you famous.”

Nick Cannon made his first televised appearance since becoming a father on “Lopez Tonight.” The comedian, who was there to promote his Showtime special and album Mr. Showbiz, shared why he named his twins Monroe and Moroccan, getting lost in the hospital and ending up in the psych ward, and how the experience changed him.

“I just have a great, great respect for women now that I saw what they have to go through,” said Nick, who almost passed out three times in the delivery room.

As for his wife, she was hitting high notes even during labor. “She was cussing in high octaves,” he joked. “I never heard so many cuss words so high.”

During their hospital visit, the couple “blazed” Mariah’s music, along with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and even Jay-Z. The new mom and “dem babies” are expected to go home this week.
