Hov brought out the stars when his “Magna Carter World Tour” touched down at L.A.’s Staples Center on Monday. Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Kobe Bryant, Jessica Alba, Martin Lawrence, Taylor Lautner, Matt Kemp, and Khloe Kardashian were just some of the famous faces spotted in the audience.
Paris Hilton posed with birthday girl Nicki, while Kelly Rowland was all smiles as she held hands with her fiancé, manager Tim Witherspoon.
During the show, Jay shouted out Dame Dash’s daughter Ava and caught up with his former business partner backstage.
He brought out his pal, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, to perform “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love)” and dedicated “Young Forever” to Nelson Mandela.
At the after party at Lure nightclub in Hollywood, the Roc Nation mogul kicked it with Wiz Khalifa and Kevin Hart. “Ahhhhh. I juss met Jay Z,” tweeted an excited Wiz.

The pink carpet rolled out for Nicki Minaj as she celebrated her 31st birthday at Philippe Chow in L.A. last night. The leader of the Barbz pulled up to the restaurant in her pink Lamborghini Aventador with her man Safaree “SB” Samuels by her side.
She was greeted by friends including Lil Twist and Kylie Jenner and was presented with several cakes including one shaped like breasts and another that said, “Happy birthday to the most talented woman on this planet.”
Nicki had a few too many Myx moscatos while partying with her girls. “I was gone. So gone. U can’t tell, but I was #Gone – I love my girls,” she tweeted.
She received gifts including a pink sculpture by artist Hebru Brantley and her very own stripper pole. “That awkward moment when u get a stripper pole for your birthday,” said Nicki.

“I feel like I brought OVO Fest to L.A. tonight,” said Drake during his “Would You Like a Tour?” stop at Staples Center in Los Angeles last night.
In addition to Future, Miguel, and Jhené Aiko, the star-studded lineup included Drake’s YMCMB labelmate Nicki Minaj, who joined him for “Make Me Proud.”
“Los Angeles, make some noise for one of the most beautiful, talented women in the entire world, Ms. Nicki Minaj,” said Drizzy to Nicki, who blew him a kiss before exiting the stage.
He also paid homage to his second hometown by bringing out West Coast legend Snoop Dogg, who performed a medley of hits including “The Next Episode,” “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
“This guy right here is one of the most important people, not only in music, but just in the world, one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life,” said the Toronto MC.
Lil’ Kim wasn’t the only rap queen who blessed the stage at Power 105.1′s Powerhouse at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday. Following her appearance in Philly, Nicki Minaj surprised the crowd during Meek Mill’s set. She joined the MMG MC for his Dreamchasers 3 cuts “Dope Dealer” and “I B On Dat” with Fabolous, and performed her verses on “I Wanna Be With You,” “Tapout,” and “Love More.”
She caught up with “The Breakfast Club” hosts Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy backstage, where she spoke about her scandalous Halloween costume.
While Miley Cyrus channeled Lil’ Kim, Ellen DeGeneres dressed as another daring rap diva. The talk show host went as Nicki Minaj for Halloween. She debuted her costume choice on the Halloween episode of her show.
Ellen bared some cleavage in a revealing black top, much like the one Nicki wore during her appearance on the show earlier this month.
“She took our show from PG to DD,” Ellen said of Nicki. “I normally don’t wear things that are this sexy, but when you’re dressed as Nicki Minaj, you have to.”
She showed off her “boom booms” and her “super bass,” and even did a little twerking.
Nicki weighed in on her costume: “I didn’t know Ellen could get any sexier,” she tweeted.
Hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars came together for Power 99′s Powerhouse 2013 in Philadelphia on Friday. The star-studded concert included performances from Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, K. Michelle, Mario, Ace Hood, Sevyn Streeter, and Philly’s own Meek Mill.
The MMG rapper put on for his hometown by bringing out Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, and French Montana during his headlining set.
Despite his tweet from earlier in the day (“Aye @kendricklamar ima show you who king on this side at powerhouse Friday!”), he shrugged off any beef between him and the Compton MC.
“Me and Kendrick, we cool guys,” Meek told Mina SayWhat backstage. “When I see Kendrick, we smile and laugh about it. No negative stuff.”
Chris Brown ripped the Wells Fargo Center with his hits including “Fine China” and “Love More,” while 2 Chainz turned up with Big Sean for “All Me.”
In addition to burning up the stage, the Atlanta rapper is also cooking up a potential culinary show. “People have approached me. We’ll see,” said 2 Chainz, whose sophomore album B.O.A.T.S. II includes a cookbook.
Villanova rolled out the pink carpet for Nicki Minaj when she surprised the students on Friday. To close out its annual Hoops Mania festival, the Philadelphia-area university hosted a Midnight Madness-themed basketball event to celebrate the start of the season.
According to CBS Sports, this year’s festivities concluded with a surprise performance from the Young Money superstar.
Nicki delivered a 25-minute set of her hits including “Starships,” “Moment 4 Life,” “High School,” and “I Wanna Be With You.” She also took photos with the men’s and women’s teams and was gifted a jersey with her name on it.
