Rich Gang hits the jackpot in the video for “Tapout” featuring Lil Wayne, Future, Birdman, Mack Maine, and Nicki Minaj. The Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip was shot in Beverly Hills and Miami in March. Paris Hilton and Christina Milian play undercover waitresses, who go on a heist at a lavish mansion party.
After spiking a man’s drink, the ladies crack open the vault and find diamonds, gold, and cash. Christina is eventually caught, while Paris gets away with the goods. Nicki Minaj puts her million-dollar assets on display in a skin-baring orange dress, while Kimora Lee Simmons, Bow Wow, and DJ Khaled make cameos.
The song can be found on the upcoming Rich Gang album, due June 25.
Nicki Minaj has been heating up the streets with “Tapout” and “Freaks,” but she hasn’t forgotten about her pop fans. The “American Idol” judge jumps on the remix to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Tonight I’m Getting Over You.” Her Minajesty adds a quirky verse to the dubstep meets electro-house record, produced by Max Martin. Get into it.
Nicki Minaj can be seen each week on television on “American Idol.” Now she’s headed to the big screen. The rapper is set to make her acting debut alongside Cameron Diaz in Fox’s revenge comedy The Other Woman.
French Montana adds some island flavor to his single “Freaks.” With less than a month to go until his debut Excuse My French drops, the Bad Boy rapper re-ups with the remix featuring DJ Khaled, Mavado, Rick Ross, and Wale. Rozay raps in a Jamaican patois, while Mavado sings the hook on the Rico Love production.
Fantasia will make her return to the “American Idol” stage tonight, nine years after winning the title. She will perform her new single “Lose to Win,” but she’s not sweating it.
“This is the very first time that I’m not really, really nervous,” says the 28-year-old singer, whose fourth album Side Effects of You is due April 23. “Going back always reminds me of where it all started, which is a good thing. It’s a humbling thing for me.”
But instead of singing in front of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, she will face new judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
So what does Fantasia think of Nicki as a judge? “Whatever floats their boat. I always believe in change. Everything can’t stay the same,” she tells Rap-Up TV. “The fact that they changed it up, brought somebody else in, a little younger that can relate to the younger crowd and a whole ‘nother different type of music, hey do it.”
As for Mariah, “I would have to say that that was a perfect choice as well. Mariah is a legend. She is music.”
Fantasia has been watching the latest season. “I think that they have some very, very good talent on this year. I will always say that my season was the best season,” she says of Season 3, which produced stars including Jennifer Hudson.
While she wouldn’t name her favorite on Season 12, she is partial to one particular contestant from South Carolina.

Nicki Minaj introduces us to her new best friend in the comedic commercial for her pink edition of Beats by Dr. Dre’s Pill portable wireless Bluetooth speaker.
When she leaves the room, Nicki’s sassy speaker (which she nicknamed “Pinkpilltina”) comes to life, reprimanding her boyfriend (played by comedian DeRay Davis) for texting another girl. He tries to silence her, but can’t and she rats him out to Nicki, who eventually kicks him to the curb.
“Bye bye boo boo!” says Pinkpilltina.
Inspired by Nicki’s signature color, the pink Pill is available to purchase for $199 at AT&T retail stores nationwide and online at att.com.
Meet Nicki’s new bestie in the hilarious clip below.
After giving her Barbz the “High School” video last week, Nicki Minaj takes it back to her mixtape days with the viral video for “Up in Flames” off The Re-Up. The bossy blonde gets her Stevie Wonder on as she plays the piano by candlelight and spits in-your-face rhymes by the fireplace in the Grizz Lee-directed clip, which is comprised of her own footage.
She toasts with her girlfriend, flies private, and hits the studio to drop some heat. Meanwhile, stuntmen including her right-hand man ScaffBeezy tear up the streets on bikes.
