Fans across the world still mourn his loss and celebrate his legacy as one of the greatest lyricists of all time. With his laid-back flow and remarkable gift of wordplay, Christopher Wallace translated his life as a drug dealer in Brooklyn into often dark, but vivid anthems, inviting listeners to share in his experiences from the streets while entertaining with his whip-smart rhymes.

“B.R. and B.I. get cream/ People always sayin’ what the hell does that mean?/ Bitches always see me and they can’t understand how I once was a little boy and became a man,” raps Busta.

Men in black Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Diddy, Red Café, and Rick Ross celebrated the life and legacy of the Notorious B.I.G. during a party at Brooklyn club the Lab on Monday (March 9), the 13th anniversary of the rapper’s death.

“We’re trying to make March 9 a national hip-hop holiday,” Diddy told MTV News. “March 9 is Biggie Day. … Bump Biggie all day, feel good and positive.”
