Tyler, the Creator directs and stars in the movie WOLF, which is also the title of his latest album. In the 55-second trailer, his alter ego Wolf Haley lights up a cigarette and watches as his goons beat up a kid on a bike, but when we get a closer look, we see that it’s Tyler.

The Odd Future frontman has dreams of winning an Academy Award for his directing. “SINCE I DIDNT GET A VMA NOM IM FIGHTING FOR AN OSCAR ONE DAY WHO KNOWS THO ILL GET BETTER AS I GET OLDER,” he said.

An alternate version of his WOLF track “Rusty” can be heard as the soundtrack.

Tyler will bring his OFWGKTA Carnival back to L.A. for the second year on Nov. 9 with Frank Ocean and Mac Miller.

New Music: Earl Sweatshirt f/ Frank Ocean – ‘Sunday’

Earl Sweatshirt gets “painfully honest” on “Sunday” off his upcoming album Doris, but it’s Frank Ocean’s verse that is getting all the attention. The R&B crooner stunts (“Standing ovation at Staples/ I got my Grammys and gold”) and raps about his fight with Chris Brown on the melodic song.

“They called me soft in high school/ Thank God I’m jagged/ Forgot you don’t like it rough/ I mean he called me a faggot/ I was just calling his bluff/ I mean how anal am I gon’ be when I’m aiming my gun/ And why’s his mug all bloody/ That was a three on one,” he raps.

Doris also features Tyler, the Creator, Domo Genesis, Mac Miller, Vince Staples, and Casey Veggies.

Earl Sweatshirt Performs on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’

Earl Sweatshirt made his network television debut on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Friday. The Odd Future rapper was joined by The Roots as he performed The Neptunes-produced “Burgundy” off his upcoming album Doris, due August 20. He casually emerged from his dressing room and made his way to the stage in a hoodie and shorts.

“the first verse of burgundy is my favorite thing ive ever written,” he later tweeted.

New Music: Earl Sweatshirt f/ Vince Staples – ‘Burgundy’


All eyes are on Earl Sweatshirt as he gears up for the August 20 release of his highly-anticipated album Doris. On The Neptunes-produced “Burgundy” featuring Vince Staples, the Odd Future rapper addresses fame (“So don’t tell me that I made it, only relatively famous”) and his father.

“I’m afraid I’m gonna blow it/ When them expectations rising because daddy was a poet,” raps the 19-year-old in reference to South African poet Keorapetse Kgositsile.

Doris is already receiving praise from critics including the Los Angeles Times, who proclaimed it as “one of the best albums of the year.”

Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, & Tyler, the Creator Attend Jay-Z/Justin Timberlake NYC Show

Jay-Z brought his “Legends of the Summer” tour with Justin Timberlake home to New York’s Yankee Stadium on Friday for the first of two back-to-back shows. The hip-hop mogul performed his classics and new material off Magna Carta… Holy Grail, and brought out Alicia Keys to serenade his city with “Empire State of Mind.”

Beyoncé, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Tyler, the Creator, Ne-Yo, and Angela Simmons were among the stars in the crowd.

Following the sold-out show, Jay-Z hosted an after-party at his 40/40 club. Mr. and Mrs. Carter sipped D’Usse cognac as they held court in VIP.

Jay-Z and Justin will play a second show at Yankee Stadium tonight before heading to Chicago, L.A., and Vancouver.
