Omarion wipes the slate clean with his DJ Drama-hosted mixtape The Awakening. The 19-track collection, which he likens to a studio album, features appearances from YG (“Fall in Love”), Rye Rye over the Diplo-sampled “Clap Yo Hands,” Method Man on “Luke Skywalker (Bullshittin’),” and Lil Wayne on the previously leaked “Komfort.”
“The Awakening is about a new beginning. It’s about a new everything,” the former B2K member told Rap-Up TV. “I feel refreshed from everything that I’ve been through up until now. Omarion’s a new man, Omarion’s a different person. It’s time to create new history.”

Omarion is starting anew. The R&B singer unleashes his DJ Drama-hosted mixtape The Awakening today, ushering in the next chapter in his career. Rap-Up TV met up with the former B2K member in Hollywood as he was performing Justin Timberlake’s “Señorita” on piano. After laying it down on the keys, he spoke on why he wanted to give away free music to his fans, collaborating with Method Man on “Luke Skywalker (Bullshittin’),” and moving on from the past.

Omarion turned heads with his one-of-a-kind looks during New York Fashion Week, so why would we expect any less on his birthday? The R&B crooner celebrated turning 26 at Marbella nightclub in Hollywood on Friday night (Nov. 5). Wearing gold chains over a tuxedo shirt and bow tie, O let everyone know it was his night to shine. Friends Teairra Mari and fellow B2K member J-Boog joined the festivities.
In the sea of celebrities we saw during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week over the past few days, no one caught our eye quite like Omarion. The former B2K member showed off his bold style at various runway shows, including Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. presentation where he knocked the socks off the couture crowd. Rap-Up TV caught up with Omarion on the red carpet at last weekend’s MTV Movie Awards. The “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge ducked the California heat and spoke about his desire to work with Shakira (“I think me and her dancing would really be electrifying”), future collaborations with his friend Chris Brown, and rooting for his former Young Money labelmate Drake.
