New Music: Gwen Stefani – ‘Spark the Fire’

Spark the Fire

Light it up. Nine years after topping the charts with “Hollaback Girl,” Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams rekindle the flame on “Spark the Fire.” Pharrell previewed the hip-pop track at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival earlier this month, and now Gwen has debuted the studio version and Harajuku-inspired cover art.

“The Voice” stars prove that the magic is still there on the catchy jam, which finds Gwen rapping over Pharrell’s signature production.

“OMG, OMG, I’m back again / Original feel good is what I defend / I’m a believer, no I don’t pretend,” sings the No Doubt frontwoman.

A video has already been shot with Sophie Muller (“Baby Don’t Lie”) and the song will appear on Gwen’s third solo album, which she hopes to release by the end of the year.
