Rita Ora set off sparks during her opening performance at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards in Frankfurt, Germany. The blonde bombshell, along with Carly Rae Jepsen and fun., kicked off the show with an explosive performance of “R.I.P.” She emerged from the ceiling in a cage wearing a lacy red catsuit and matching sneakers, holding an umbrella as pyro fell from the sky.

Rita Ora was the belle of the ball at the 2012 MTV EMA in Frankfurt, Germany, on Sunday. Before opening the show, the “R.I.P.” singer ignited the red carpet in a red Marchesa gown with a massive train.

“It’s just so surreal. This year’s been incredible,” said an excited Rita, who is nominated for two awards including Best New Artist. “It’s just so, so nice to be noticed and have fun with it as well.”

Rita Ora had the best weekend ever. After winning “Best Newcomer” at the MOBO Awards and officially releasing her new single “Shine Ya Light,” the 21-year-old singer performed on “The X Factor” U.K., sharing the bill with No Doubt. During Sunday’s taping, she finally met Gwen Stefani, who she has admired her entire life.

After snapping a photo with her blonde idol, she reflected on the surreal experience. “I woke up this morning thinking wow I actually met the person I looked up to all my life. Have u guys ever met the people who inspired you?” tweeted Rita.

Rita Ora capped off a successful year by winning her first-ever award for “Best Newcomer” at Saturday’s MOBO Awards in Liverpool, England. The “R.I.P.” singer stunned in a white Mugler dress while walking the red carpet, changing into a colorful Alexander McQueen number for her acceptance speech.

“I won BEST NEWCOMER thank you to everyone who voted its the First thing I’ve ever won!!” tweeted an excited Rita.

Other winners at the 17th annual awards included Emeli Sandé for Best Album, Nicki Minaj for Best International Act, and Sean Paul for Best Reggae.

Rita’s newest single “Shine Ya Light” was officially released in the U.K. this weekend and she will perform on “The X Factor” later today.

Rita Ora returns to Pristina, Kosovo, in the feel-good video for “Shine Ya Light,” the latest single off her Roc Nation debut ORA. The 21-year-old blonde bombshell speeds through the streets on the back of a motorcycle (with an Ora license plate) and gets a police escort. Wearing her signature beanie, she warmly greets her hometown fans and performs on top of the Newborn monument overlooking the city.

“I can’t explain to you what this means,” said the stylish Rita, who was overcome with emotion during her journey home. “This is the only place I wanted to shoot my video.”

Rita Ora brought some heat—literally—during her visit to “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” on Power 106. The “R.I.P.” hitmaker shared her affinity for Tabasco sauce, which she applies to everything from bananas to bread. Big Boy tasted it for himself and even had his sidekick drink an ounce of the hot sauce while Rita held his hand.
