New Music: Rye Rye f/ Tyga – ‘Shake Twist Drop’

Rye Rye reports to the dance floor on the Pharrell-produced “Shake Twist Drop” featuring Young Money’s Tyga. The drum-heavy banger appears on the Baltimore MC’s long-awaited debut Go! Pop! Bang!, which features Akon, Robyn, Porcelain Black, and her mentor M.I.A., who guests on three tracks (see tracklisting below).

“M.I.A. always said it reminded her of where she’s from, like the tribal sound and stuff,” Rye Rye told Rap-Up.com. “It’s a party track for sure and it’s personally one of my favorites.”

Rye Rye, Neon Hitch Perform at NewNowNext Awards

Rye Rye and Neon Hitch

Rye Rye made a splash during her playful performance of “Boom Boom” at Logo’s NewNowNext Awards. The Baltimore firecracker, whose debut album Go! Pop! Bang! drops May 15, threw a party onstage, complete with bubbles, inflatable dolphins, and beach balls.

Orange-haired vixen Neon Hitch made a barefoot entrance in a feathery headpiece to perform “Love U Betta,” the clean version of her explicit single “Fuck U Betta,” as she rolled around on the floor.

Rye Rye takes charge with her bossy remix to Tyga’s “Rack City.” The self-proclaimed “independent bitch” stacks her cash and her men, dropping sexually explicit rhymes that may raise a few eyebrows.

“I need my money A$AP, no Rocky but I like my money haystack/ I put them goodies on the market, tell ‘em chase that/ Tell a ni**a fuck off after I spend his paycheck,” raps the feisty Baltimore MC.

Tyga is expected to appear on Rye Rye’s debut album Go! Pop! Bang!, which drops May 15.

Rye Rye Springs Into Action in ‘Boom Boom’ Video

Rye Rye was funky fresh, dressed to impress, and ready to party on set of the action-packed video for “Boom Boom,” her Vengaboys-sampled single. The 21-year-old firecracker showed off her bubbly personality in colorful creations and hairstyles while shooting the green-screen clip, which is set to debut later this month. She rocked a two-toned hairstyle and gold chains in one scene, challenging her male co-star in a black-and-gold bodysuit in another setup.

After a few delays, Rye Rye’s debut album Go! Pop! Bang! will finally arrive on May 15 via N.E.E.T. Recordings/Interscope. She also stars in and contributes to the soundtrack for the action-comedy 21 Jump Street.
