Video: Tinashe f/ ScHoolboy Q – ’2 On’

ScHoolboy Q and Tinashe

Since dropping her 13-track mixtape Black Water last year, Tinashe has been one to watch. Now the L.A.-based singer-actress, formerly of girl group The Stunners, makes some major moves in the Hannah Lux Davis-directed video for her DJ Mustard-produced single “2 On” featuring ScHoolboy Q.

The dance-heavy clip opens with the 21-year-old getting ready for a big night out. She rehearses with her girls at a studio before debuting her new moves at an underground club, where she meets up with the Oxymoron rapper. In between all the fierce choreography, the birthday girl blows out the candles on her cake and starts a food fight.

“’2 On’ is meant to be fun. It’s about celebrating being young, going out, being with your friends, and living it up. That was my inspiration,” said Tinashe. “It’s got a West Coast vibe with ScHoolboy Q and DJ Mustard, but it has my spin too. I wanted the visuals for the song to capture that mood.”

Tinashe has been in the studio with producers including Mike WiLL Made It, Boi-1da, T-Minus, and Dev Hynes working on her RCA Records debut, which will feature more up-tempo and rhythmic cuts than her mixtape.
