Shakira heats up the streets of Barcelona, Spain, in the Jaume De Laiguana-directed video for “Loca,” the first single from her bilingual album Sale El Sol (Oct. 19). The Colombian bombshell rollerblades, rides a motorcycle, dances in a public fountain, and shakes her famous hips, while British rapper Dizzee Rascal makes a cameo. Muy caliente!

September just got a lil’ bit crazy. Shakira, who’s following up her 2009 English album She Wolf with the bilingual Sale El Sol, has simultaneously released English and Spanish versions of the effort’s first single “Loca,” with U.K. grime rapper Dizzee Rascal spitting alongside the international superstar on the song’s English edition.

The horn-soaked track, a remake of El Cata’s merengue hit “Loca Con Su Tiguere,” is a spicy Latin-influenced confection, with Shakira seductively singing, “I’m crazy but you like it!” on the chorus.

The song’s debut coincides with the release of her album cover, which shows the Latina hottie laying in the sand with clumps of Silly Bandz on her wrists. “Just finished the new album cover. What do you think? Recién terminada la portada del álbum, ¿les gusta?” she wrote on her Facebook page.

The album, which collaborator Rico Love revealed as having a more “pop, edgy” sound than its predecessor, also features production from Jim Jonsin, who previously spoke to Rap-Up.com about her work ethic. “She’s a boss. She definitely knows what she wants and she’s not gonna settle for anything less. She’s a strong-willed woman,” he stated.

Sale El Sol is due in stores October 19.

The Black Eyed Peas helped get the global party started at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, South Africa, on Thursday (June 10). Dressed in glitzy, futuristic costumes, Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo ran through an energetic set that included “Where Is the Love,” “Boom Boom Pow,” and “I Gotta Feeling.”

“Tonight we can all be in an ‘Empire State of Mind,’” said Alicia Keys before performing her New York anthem in front of 30,000 concertgoers. The pregnant singer also sang “No One,” “You Don’t Know My Name,” and “Fallin’.”

John Legend treated the crowd to his new single “Wake Up Everybody” from his forthcoming ’60s and ’70s covers album, while Shakira launched into “Hips Don’t Lie” with South African hip-hop artist Tumi Molekane and then delivered the official 2010 FIFA World Cup Song, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).”

Shakira is already back in the lab working on a new, edgy dance album, as Rico Love previously revealed to Rap-Up.com. Now his hitmaking partner Jim Jonsin is spilling a few more details on the blonde bombshell’s bilingual project.

During Rap-Up TV’s sit-down, the super-producer discussed how Shakira flew him out to her home in the Bahamas and some of the music they worked on, including a record inspired by the streets. “We came up with a song that she had worked on in the Dominican Republic,” he said. “She had an idea from Pitbull. Supposedly, she went into the ’hood and did this record.”

The “She Wolf” was all about her business during their studio sessions. “She’s a boss. She definitely knows what she wants and she’s not gonna settle for anything less. She’s a strong-willed woman,” remarked Jim.

Expect her famous hips to be working overtime once the new music drops. “She’s trying to get her dance thing and get back to the Latinos, and do that with percussion and some house stuff.” The only requirement? “If it doesn’t make her shake her ass or get her moving, then it’s not even worth going any further.”

Less than six months after releasing her English album She Wolf, Shakira is back at work on her next project, Rap-Up.com has exclusively learned.

Producer Jim Jonsin (T.I., Beyoncé) and songwriter Rico Love (Usher, Diddy) were in the studio with the Colombian bombshell earlier this month. “I worked with Shakira a few weeks ago in Miami. We did two sessions together,” Rico told Rap-Up TV. “She’s working on another album.”

Fans of the “Gypsy” can expect to see her shake her famous hips once again with the new music, which Rico described as having a “more pop, edgy” sound. “She wanted to really dance on this record and do what made her famous in America, a ‘Whenever, Wherever’-type vibe,” he revealed.

Despite her global superstar status, there were no diva antics in the lab. “She’s really a sweetheart. We got along really good,” said Rico. “She understands what she wants, she knows her strong points, and she demands that.”

On July 11, Shakira will perform “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” the official song of 2010 FIFA World Cup, at the closing ceremony before the FIFA World Cup Final at Johannesburg Soccer City Stadium in South Africa.

Usher performed something new (“More”) and something old (“Yeah!”) during the introductions of the NBA All-Stars at the 2010 NBA All-Star Game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday (Feb. 14). If that wasn’t enough, Alicia Keys and Shakira co-headlined an unforgettable halftime show.
