Rap-Up TV: Caribbean Cooking with Shontelle

Shontelle can rip the mic, but she’s also handy in the kitchen. The Bajan babe, whose sophomore album No Gravity is in stores now, was feeling like a desperate housewife as she took a private cooking lesson at Sur La Table in Los Angeles with Chef Martin Gilligan.

Rap-Up TV had hungry eyes as the “Impossible” singer whipped up an island-inspired meal including pineapple cole slaw, lobster curry, mahi mahi, conch fritters, banana rice pudding, and a Bahama Mama to wash it down.

Watch out Rachael Ray, she’s coming for ya!

Shontelle

Fresh off the success of her smash single “Impossible,” Barbadian singer Shontelle is ready to wake up from her “Perfect Nightmare.” The Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced track, the follow-up single off her sophomore album No Gravity (Sept. 21), kicks off as a smoky piano-laced ballad where the chanteuse finds herself trapped in a damaged relationship where she can’t help but love the man who treats her wrong. Soon, the drums kick in and the pace picks up as if Shontelle struggles to break free from her “Perfect Nightmare.” Hit the jump and wake yourself up with this dark new single.
