New Music: T-Pain – ‘Coming Home’

Coming Home

Just in time for Thanksgiving, T-Pain salutes the troops on “Coming Home.” The feel-good song, which features a sample of The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles),” started out as a song about T-Pain coming home to his wife after touring, but has turned into a dedication to the military men and women who are serving their country away from their families.

“Ain’t nobody in this world that can take your place / And I won’t leave you alone ’cause girl I’m coming home,” sings an Auto-Tuned T-Pain, who is working on his fifth album Stoicville: The Phoenix.

Watch him debut his new song live on HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade” and head over to TPain.com for a free download.

New Music: T-Pain – ‘Stoicville’

T-Pain

T-Pain proved that he can sing without Auto-Tune, and he does it again on “Stoicville,” the title track from his upcoming fifth album Stoicville: The Phoenix. On the autobiographical track, Teddy P. shares his candid confessions about his friends, father, and fame.

“I feel like people needed to know what I’ve been doing,” T-Pain told The FADER. “A lot of people have been asking, and it’s kind of hard to put the story into just one answer. So ‘Stoicville’ is a quick tell-all—airing everything out and letting my past be the past and basically starting anew.”

Just this week, RCA Records released T-Pain’s Happy Hour: The Greatest Hits, but it came as a surprise to him. “It wasn’t my idea at all,” he said. “It was the label. I found out I was putting out a greatest hits album ’cause I went on my phone and saw that I could pre-order it! Not to sound like a dick or anything, but I got way more than 13 hits. I would have rather put out a greatest hits album next year cause I got signed in 2005.”

He’s already recorded 127 songs for Stoicville, and recently completed his “Drankin’ Patna” U.S. tour.

New Music: T-Pain f/ Lil Wayne – ‘Let Me Through’

Lil Wayne and T-Pain

T-Wayne is back…well, sort of. During his visit to “Sway in the Morning” this week, T-Pain opened the vault and liberated an unreleased collaboration with Lil Wayne called “Let Me Through.”

The duo scored two top 10 hits with “Can’t Believe It” and “Got Money,” and had plans to release a joint album. When he spoke to Rap-Up TV in March, T-Pain was optimistic that the T-Wayne album would see the light of day.

“I’m getting back on my music shit, so I’m pretty sure Wayne will be like, ‘I’m glad you’re back. Let’s make this happen,’” he said. “I think it’ll happen again. I think it will.”

Just this week, T-Pain released his Happy Hour: The Greatest Hits collection featuring 13 of his biggest records including “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’),” “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper),” and his new single, “Drankin’ Patna.”

Listen to “Let Me Through” and watch Teddy P. spit a freestyle for Sway.

New Music: T-Pain f/ B.o.B, Kid Ink, & Lil Boosie – ‘Up Down (Remix)’

Up Down (Remix)

A day after releasing his new single “Drankin Patna,” T-Pain shakes up the strip club with his remix to “Up Down (Do This All Day)” featuring B.o.B, Kid Ink, and Lil Boosie, who steals the show with his sexually-explicit verse.

T-Pain plans to drop a second remix to the Stoicville song. He previously told Rap-Up TV that he was trying to get Rihanna, André 3000, Snoop Dogg, and 2 Chainz, but we’ll have to wait and see if he pulled it off.

New Music: T-Pain – ‘Drankin Patna’

Drankin Patna

Pour it up. Seven years after topping the charts with “Buy U a Drank,” T-Pain reworks the magic on his new single “Drankin Patna” off his upcoming album Stoicville: The Phoenix. The Tallahassee hitmaker throws back shots as he croons in Auto-Tune over the snapping beat.

“‘Drankin Patna’ is basically when you meet that person that likes drinking as much as you do and knows about alcohol as much as you do,” he told Rap-Up. “A person that you can sit back with and just take shots with and still be fine with.”

He has also recorded two remixes to “Up Down (Do This All Day).” The first one features Lil Boosie, Kid Ink, and B.o.B.

Take a shot with T-Pain.
