Following their busy album release day, the G.O.O.D. Music crew hit up Power 105′s “The Breakfast Club.” G.O.O.D. representatives Pusha T, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, CyHi the Prynce, and Common sat down with Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, and DJ Envy for over 25 minutes of candid conversation.
They discussed the Cruel Summer delay, Teyana Taylor’s addition to the all boys club, the Lil Wayne vs. Pusha T beef, Teyana’s rumored feud with Rihanna, working with Kanye, Pusha and Sean’s solo albums, and advice for Chief Keef.
Big Sean also responded to Consequence’s claim that he saved him from being dropped from G.O.O.D. “Yeah, Consequence called me a model too. Give it up for the comedian,” said the Detroit MC. “Consequence performing at the club between 9 and 9:15 p.m., next to the bar.”
Plus, he revealed that he, J. Cole, and Meek Mill were supposed to do a mixtape together. “It was like a secret,” he said.
The champagne was flowing as G.O.O.D. Music kicked off the VMA festivities with a swanky soirée hosted by Moët & Chandon on Wednesday night. While Kanye West was in New York, his crew including Big Sean, Common, and Teyana Taylor held things down at a private 50-person dinner and after-party at West Hollywood’s Bagatelle restaurant.
Other guests stopping by to celebrate the upcoming release of the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, Cruel Summer, included Ne-Yo, NeNe Leakes, Jennifer Williams, Jesse Williams, Eva Marcille, and Lance Gross. DJ Wonder worked the turntables until 1:30 a.m., spinning hits from the G.O.O.D. folks and their Def Jam labelmates.
The event is part of the Moët Rosé Lounge Series, a private three-city, celebrity hosted supper-club tour reserved for local tastemakers and media.
