New Music: Usher f/ Nicki Minaj – ‘She Came to Give It to You’

She Came to Give it to You

Following their 2010 collaboration “Lil Freak,” Usher teams up with Nicki Minaj once again on “She Came to Give It to You” off his upcoming album. On the funky Pharrell-produced number, Ursh sings about a lady who stands out from the crowd, while Nicki has some advice for the fellas.

“And tell your man play the back like a spine / He only lasts six seconds like a Vine,” she raps.

In addition to the “Pills N Potions” rapper, Usher has been in the studio with Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Skrillex, and Juicy J, who appears on the strip club anthem “I Don’t Mind.”

Justin Bieber, Usher, & Ed Sheeran Celebrate at Scooter Braun’s Wedding

Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun tied the knot over the weekend in Whistler, Canada, and he was serenaded by some of his superstar clients. The music mogul wed cancer activist Yael Cohen in an intimate ceremony, which was attended by Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Asher Roth, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tom Hanks, and more.

After the couple exchanged vows, Justin dedicated the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” to the newlyweds.

At the reception, another one of Braun’s clients, Carly Rae, dueted with Bieber on “Call Me Maybe.”

Ed Sheeran and Asher Roth teamed up on a cover of BLACKStreet’s “No Diggity,” while Tom Hanks—dressed as a rabbi—sang along to Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It.”

Usher, who is business partners with Braun, also flew in to celebrate with the happy couple.

“Thank God I was there to officiate the ceremony. שאלוהים יברך אותך Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Braun!!! #SYBwedding,” tweeted Usher.

New Music: Usher – ‘Good Kisser (Disclosure Remix)’

After dropping a remix to Pharrell’s “Frontin’” last month, Disclosure lends their golden touch to Usher’s “Good Kisser.” The British electro duo gives the slick R&B number an EDM makeover that’s destined for new life on the dance floor.

The song has also spawned remixes from Rick Ross and Mila J.

In between collaborating with Chris Brown and Juicy J, Usher has been in the studio with EDM kings Skrillex and Diplo working on his upcoming album.

Usher Performs Medley at BET Awards

Usher reminded us why he’s one of R&B’s greats with his exhilarating performance at the BET Awards.

The R&B crooner delivered a dance-heavy retrospective of hits including “Confessions,” “U Remind Me,” “U Don’t Have to Call,” and “Caught Up.”

He also served up his latest single “Good Kisser” and showed us that he can get down on the drums. Bang bang.

Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo Honored at ASCAP Awards

The stars came out to salute Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, and Mike WiLL Made-It during the 27th Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton on Thursday night.

Following previous recipients Alicia Keys, Jay Z, and Pharrell, Ne-Yo was honored with the ASCAP Golden Note Award. The R&B hitmaker received a star-studded musical tribute from Mario, who performed his Ne-Yo-penned No. 1 single “Let Me Love You,” while Jennifer Hudson serenaded him with “Spotlight” and “Why Is It So Hard.”

“I’m back in the studio,” Ne-Yo told the crowd while accepting the award. “I got some more songs to write, I got some more music to put out there. I’ma make myself worthy of this.”

Mike WiLL Made-It received Songwriter of the Year for his plethora of hits including “Bandz a Make Her Dance,” “Pour It Up,” “Bugatti,” and “Body Party.” Rae Sremmurd, the duo signed to his label Eardrumma, treated the crowd to a performance of their hit “No Flex Zone.”

Jermaine Dupri was honored with the biggest award of the evening, the ASCAP Founders Award. Bow Wow aka Shad Moss kicked off the tribute with a performance of “I Think They Like Me” before Usher took the stage to honor his mentor with “Confessions.”

“Next time they say this award, they gotta say Quincy Jones, Berry Gordy, and Jermaine Dupri,” said J.D., who joins a prestigious list of past honorees.

Other big winners included Robin Thicke, Pharrell, and T.I., who received the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song award for “Blurred Lines,” while Jay Z and Justin Timberlake were awarded the Top Rap Song of the Year for “Holy Grail.”

New Music: Chris Brown f/ Usher & Rick Ross – ‘New Flame’ [Snippet]

R&B lovers rejoice. Chris Brown returns with his first new song since being released from jail earlier this month. Breezy teams with his R&B brother Usher on the Rick Ross-assisted “New Flame,” which he previewed on Instagram.

“Try a new thing and let’s spark a new flame,” sings Breezy.

Usher has also enlisted Chris for his upcoming album. “The song that we did together, I think it answers a lot of questions,” he told REVOLT earlier this year.
