Waka Flocka Flame Stars in Pine Bros. Throat Drops Commercial

Waka Flocka Flame

The AMAs featured performances from superstars like Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Jennifer Lopez, but it was Waka Flocka Flame who stole the show. During the telecast, an ad for Pine Brothers throat drops aired in certain markets starring the “No Hands” rapper.

The 30-second spot shows Waka sitting on a couch while smoke fills the room.

“What does a Waka Flocka Flame do for minor soar throat relief? This here: Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops,” says Waka. “Can’t live without my Pine Bros., straight up. Nothing soothes your throat like soft delicious Pine Bros.”

He lists its all-natural ingredients, “plant glycerin” and “imported gum acacia,” which help soothe his, umm, throat. “So next time you need sore throat relief—for whatever reason—take your Pine Bros.”

The ad was a hit on social media. Following its airing, Pine Bros. trended on Twitter while viewers exploded with laughter.

New Music: Waka Flocka Flame – ‘Lifestyle (Remix)’

Lifestyle (Remix)

Following his arrest for gun possession this morning, Waka Flocka follows through on his promise and drops his remix to Rich Gang’s “Lifestyle.” The Brick Squad leader dedicates the track to the public houses and trailer parks, and offers some advice to those who are struggling.

“Stay away from the snakes and the sharks,” he warns. “Take care of your fam, kids, and your girl. Now that’s gangsta.”

Waka’s mom/manager Debra Antney has called his arrest a big mistake, saying he accidentally grabbed his fiancé’s bag which contained the gun. The couple is in the process of moving and their stuff got mixed up, which is how the gun ended up in his possession.

Now the Atlanta rapper ventures further into EDM territory with “TTU (Too Turnt Up),” his electro-hop collaboration with Chicago production duo Flosstradamus.

“We read an interview last year where Waka mentioned he wanted to work with us, so our management put us in touch,” Josh Young, one-half of Flosstradamus, told Rolling Stone. “There are already so many EDM remixes of his songs, it makes sense. And as a performer his energy is big enough to work on a festival stage.”

“TTU” will appear on the 22 Jump Street soundtrack, which also features Angel Haze, Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa, Travis Barker, and Juicy J.
