Thirteen-year-old rapper Young Marqus links with fellow “SneakerHead” Wale on his footwear lovers anthem. The rappers step up their shoe game on the 1500 or Nothin-produced track, which is set to appear on Marqus’ upcoming album Phenom.

The Houston MC recently became the youngest artist to perform at the BET Hip-Hop Awards and was named “the future of hip-hop” by The Source.

Video: Wale – ‘Simple Man in Toronto’

Wale heads across the border in the video for his Gifted cut “Simple Man in Toronto.” The D.C. rapper rides through the streets of Toronto at night and connects in the studio with J. Cole and Canada’s own Drake.

“All I want is money, fuck the fame/ I’m a simple man,” raps Wale, who is currently on tour with Cole.

Video: Wale – ‘Golden Salvation’

“For the price of fame, what would you do to have them say your name?” asks Wale in the video for “Golden Salvation,” a cut off his album The Gifted.

The MMG rapper, whose Tiara Thomas-assisted single “Bad” was recently certified platinum, weighs the tragic cost of fame while showing how far people will go for a Jesus piece.

“The message in this video is clear as day,” said Wale. “Had it been released when ‘fans’ cared bout creative music and story telling. It would have challenged listeners.. But we live in a time where ppl have selective hearing.”

He is currently on the road with J. Cole on the “What Dreams May Come” tour, which wraps on Oct. 30 in Seattle.

New Music: MMG – ‘Self Made, Vol. 3’ [Album Stream]

Self Made, Vol. 3

Rick Ross and his MMG crew are back for a third time with Self Made, Vol. 3. Due Sept. 17, the hip-hop compilation features MMG’s all-stars including Rozay, Meek Mill, Wale, Rockie Fresh, Stalley, and Omarion.

They also reached outside the camp, enlisting J. Cole, Lupe Fiasco, Hit-Boy, French Montana, Fabolous, Pusha T, and the late Lil Snupe.

“This album is more energetic. It’s like a home invasion,” said Ross during his appearance on “106 & Park.” “We’re kicking in the door with the energy and everybody’s coming with their A-game.”

They will celebrate by playing three shows in one day on Sept. 17. Wale will be in North Carolina with J. Cole, Meek Mill has a show in Washington, D.C., and Rick Ross will headline New York’s Gramercy Theatre. The concerts will be live streamed on MMG.TV.

Video: Sean Kingston f/ Wale – ‘Seasonal Love’

Sean Kingston is all grown up. The 23-year-old singer hits the strip club in the video for “Seasonal Love” featuring Wale. In the Benny Boom-directed clip, he meets a dancer (real-life girlfriend Maliah Michel), but their romance goes beyond the velvet rope.

He brings her home and wines and dines her until she one day finds him flirting with another woman. But she realizes that their love is more than seasonal, and ends up spending spring, summer, fall, and winter with him.

Kingston’s third album Back 2 Life arrives today featuring appearances from Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, T.I., Yo Gotti, and Busta Rhymes.
