Nicki Minaj Celebrates Album Release with YMCMB Family

After a busy week of promotional activities, Nicki Minaj finally got a chance to unwind and celebrate her accomplishments at her album release party in Miami on Easter Sunday.

Young Money’s First Lady took over LIV nightclub with her YMCMB family including Lil Wayne, Birdman, Mack Maine, Mystikal, and Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst. Her brothers sparred no expense, making it rain pink in honor of her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. She was also presented with a three-tier cake designed like her album cover and was treated to a performance from Weezy.

“LIV was POPPIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #YMCMB TakeOva!!!!!!!! S/O to everyone that came thru and partied w/da kid!!!!” tweeted the blonde Barb, who was introduced to her labelmate Mystikal for the first time. “Met Mystikal… Didn’t tell him I had a crush on him back in da day doe.”

Lil Twist prepares to unleash a storm with his debut album Don’t Get It Twisted, arriving later this spring. The 19-year-old Young Money rapper sees a tornado in the reflection of his shades as he stands in front of the Dallas skyline on the cover. Twist has recruited a star-studded cast including Justin Bieber (“Wherever You Are”), Nicki Minaj (“Wind It”), Drake, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes, who appears on the single “Turn’t Up.”

Lil Twist has it locked with the ladies, and now he caters to the streets with his freestyle over Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin’” off his upcoming mixtape Defeat Ain’t an Option.

“I ride for my ni**as, dawg, and get high with my ni**as/ Ain’t anybody try to fuck one of my ni**as, I drive by with my ni**as,” raps Young Money’s 19-year-old star, whose debut album Don’t Get It Twisted is due later this spring.

Justin Bieber Joins Lil Twist at L.A. Show

Justin Bieber stormed the stage during Lil Twist’s show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Sunday night. While opening for Tyga on his “Careless World” tour, the 19-year-old Young Money rapper surprised his fans by bringing out the pop sensation. “I do it! Swag!” chanted the teen stars as the crowd went wild.

The two have collaborated on “Wherever You Are,” a track off Twist’s upcoming debut Don’t Get It Twisted. “Not to even stunt, we go out big places,” said Twist, who once flew to St. Lucia with Justin. “We stayed in the biggest house on the island, which was on top of the mountain.”

Lil Wayne Takes a Moment of Silence for Whitney Houston [Video]

Lil Wayne put the celebration on hold to pay tribute to the great Whitney Houston at Cash Money’s Pre-Grammy Party at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on Saturday night. Following a moment of silence led by actress Taraji P. Henson, Weezy told his guests, “Can we all just give at least a few seconds, a moment of silence for Ms. Whitney Houston? … Thank you.”

With the rest of his YMCMB crew including Drake, Tyga, Birdman, Busta Rhymes, and Shanell onstage, he also acknowledged Christina Milian’s addition to the YMCMB family. “I got the beautiful Ms. Christina Milian with me tonight,” said Weezy. “Ya’ll make some noise for Ms. Christina Milian. Young Money Christina Milian!”

After he and Drake were presented with plaques, Tunechi delivered a rap that raised eyebrows. “I met a bad redbone, I took the bitch home, I asked her what she want to watch, she said surely not The Throne.”

And with that, he dropped the mic and walked offstage.
