Usher threw a rave party on stage at the 2010 AMAs, performing his hit “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” off his Versus EP. Backed by electro group Swedish House Mafia, the two-time winner led a gang of dancers to his club anthem, sliding across the stage and paying homage to James Brown with a special move. A curly-haired Rihanna floated above the audience during her opening performance at this year’s American Music Awards. The Bajan babe kicked off her medley with a snippet from her sequel to “Love the Way You Lie” before jumping off of her perch to sing her hit “What’s My Name?” Joined by backup dancers, the crimson-coiffed chanteuse switched her hips to the pop jam, taking it to the dance floor by closing the performance with “Only Girl (In the World).” Watch the bumping clip below.

Diddy-Dirty Money, Ne-Yo Rehearse for American Music Awards

Diddy, Dawn, and Kalenna aka Dirty Money are coming to the 2010 American Music Awards. The trio will perform their Alex Da Kid-produced single “Coming Home” at Sunday’s big show. Ne-Yo was also at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles as rehearsals went down, with will.i.am overseeing the production for his set with the Black Eyed Peas, who will perform their single “The Time (The Dirty Bit).” Rihanna will kick off the show with a nine-minute extravaganza, while Usher, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, and more are also on the bill.
