Janelle Monáe helped kick off New York Fashion Week at the amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday night. The “Tightrope” singer bared some skin in a black-and-white pantsuit, changing before performing for the VIP crowd, which included Cindy Crawford, Lindsay Lohan, and Heidi Klum. Jennifer Hudson wowed in a Roberto Cavalli gown and Theophilus London hit the stage at the black-tie benefit honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the fight against AIDS.

In between recording the G.O.O.D. Music album in London with Pusha T, Big Sean, Frank Ocean, and others, Kanye West snuck away to Paris to attend Fashion Week. The designer and fashion aficionado was front row at the Givenchy Menswear Autumn/Winter 2013 show on Friday (Jan. 20). Sporting a beard, hooded jacket, leather pants, and layered sweatshirt, Yeezy soaked up the runway looks alongside former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld.

Solange strut down the catwalk at the Alberta Ferretti fashion show during Milan Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012. The singer, whose favorite designers include DVF, Opening Ceremony, J. Crew, and Boxing Kitten, recently signed a modeling contract with Next Model Management.

In an interview with Vogue Italia, the new aunt spoke about becoming Rimmel’s first black spokesperson.

“I don’t by any means consider myself the most qualified for model material,” she told the magazine. “I think that people tend to respond to what is real. Black women carry that flame with so much ease and confidence. It is being captured and celebrated on all fronts in fashion now.”

Solange is finishing up her third album. “There are a lot of songs about sex,” she confessed to V magazine. “It’s the kind of record you put on when your man is coming over, when you’re with your girls. There are songs that make you wanna dance because we were kind of partying our way through the record, but it’s very chill.”

Jennifer Hudson was stunning as she stepped out for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. The Oscar-winning actress was invited as a guest of designer Michael Kors and didn’t hesitate to show off her svelte physique at the fashionable festivities. During Fashion’s Night Out, she rocked a cheetah-print wrap dress and rubbed shoulders with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour in a body-hugging fishtail gown at Kors’ Celebration of American Fashion.

“I think I want to come live in Japan. I love it here!” tweeted J-Hud, who brought her son along for the trip. “The people r the most humble n have such beautiful spirits. It’s so peaceful here, such a great feeling. I love that.”

It’s not quite Halloween yet, but Ciara got an early start on the holiday by dressing up. The fashionista transformed into a sexy vampire for former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld’s Irreverent Dinner held during Paris Fashion Week. She and Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci arrived as a creepy couple seeking the blood of their fashionable guests including Karl Lagerfeld, Diane von Furstenberg, and Uma Thurman. Kanye West opted for a more subtle all-black look, wearing a blazer, leather pants, Jordans, and his signature shades.

Glamour girls Jennifer Hudson and Ciara were brilliant in black while soaking up the spring/summer 2012 fashions at Givenchy’s ready-to-wear presentation during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday (Oct. 2). R&B’s leading ladies showed off their legs in short black dresses and high heels, Ciara opting for a plunging neckline (nip slip alert) and J-Hud sporting ombre highlights in her straight hair. Naomi Campbell and Liv Tyler were also seated front row as designer Riccardo Tisci unveiled his latest collection.

CiCi loved what she saw on the runway, tweeting, “As always, GIVENCHY = SEXY. CHIC. CLASSIC WOMAN.”

Ciara did not want to miss out on any of the Paris Fashion Week action. Having already been spotted at shows including Barbara Bui, Hogan by Karl Lagerfeld, and Dw by Kanye West, the fashionista made more runway rounds on Saturday. She grabbed a front row seat at the Jean Paul Gaultier and Sonia Rykiel spring/summer 2012 presentations, wearing skin-tight leather pants and a long sheer white top that exposed her back.

But CiCi wasn’t prepared for the unusual heat in Paris. “We packed so many furs and big jackets. We’re like, ‘What the heck is going on?’” she told Women’s Wear Daily at the Gaultier show.

Ciara rubbed shoulders with fashion’s elite at the Hogan by Karl Lagerfeld show and cocktail reception during Paris Fashion Week. CiCi looked chic in a black see-through dress with her hair slicked back in a ponytail as she checked out the famed designer’s spring/summer collection.

“On my way 2 meet Karl Largerfeld,” tweeted CiCi. “My first big fashion photo shoot was w/him &Chanel almost 8yrs ago!”

The sexy songstress, who is back with L.A. Reid at Epic Records, was spotted front row at the Barbara Bui show earlier in the week.

Ciara whipped the paparazzi into a frenzy while attending the Barbara Bui show during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday. The R&B dominatrix looked sexy in black leather pants and pointy-toed heels with a long ombre ponytail as she posed for photographers outside before grabbing a front row seat to check out the designer’s spring/summer 2012 ready-to-wear collection.

“Fitting with BARBARA BUI… This is fun! #Paris!” she tweeted. “Barbara Bui show =tough, sexy, sporty chic!…just how I like it!”

Jessie J expressed her bright and bubbly personality in a colorful ensemble at London Fashion Week. The British pop star rocked purple hair, patterned leggings featuring Betty Boop, and a cast on her foot as she grabbed a front row seat alongside model-actress Kelly Brook at the Giles show.

The “Domino” singer was forced to pull out of Katy Perry’s “California Dreams” tour in the U.S. because of her foot injury. “Having a cry about having to pull out of the @katyperry tour. I am as upset as my #heartbeats believe me. My foot is just not healing as well as I hoped,” she wrote.
