Ne-Yo Performs Medley at NBA All-Star Game

Prior to Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game, Ne-Yo got the crowd and the players pumped up with an energetic performance. The R&B gentleman kicked off the festivities with a medley of “Let’s Go,” “Let Me Love You,” and “Forever Now” as the East and West teams were introduced. He worked up a sweat on stage and changed his wardrobe multiple times during the dance-heavy set.

But his performance wasn’t well received by everyone. He fired back at those who criticized his vocals.

“Shout out to those showing love. Everybody has an off day….all good. Fuck any and all haters. Talk it while I live it bitches!!!” tweeted Ne-Yo.

Alicia Keys Performs at NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show

Following the Inaugural Ball, the Super Bowl, and the Grammys, Alicia brought her keys to the court for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. With her hair slicked back, the Grammy-winning singer headlined the halftime show at the Toyota Center in Houston, decked out in a midriff-baring top, leather sweatpants, and sneakers while performing a 10-minute medley of her hits.

Although she was in H-town, that didn’t stop Alicia from opening with her New York anthem “Empire State of Mind” while seated at the piano.

She ignited the stage with a dancehall remix to “Girl on Fire,” accompanied by male dancers in suits, headphones, and Reebok Kamikaze sneakers courtesy of her husband Swizz Beatz.

“Help me celebrate love, help me celebrate life,” said Alicia while belting out her smash “No One” as the audience put their lighters in the air.

She closed with the empowering “New Day,” getting down with her troupe of dancers during the big finale.

John Legend Sings National Anthem at NBA All-Star Game

Before the NBA’s all-stars faced off on the court at Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game in Houston, John Legend showed his stars and stripes by performing “The Star Spangled Banner.” The R&B crooner belted out a soulful rendition of the patriotic tune a capella as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Diddy, and Drake looked on.

Mr. Legend has been in the studio with Kanye West putting the finishing touches on his new album Love in the Future, due later this year.

Jay-Z and LeBron James Host ‘Two Kings’ Dinner with Beyoncé, Drake, & Diddy

The hottest ticket in town during NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston was Jay-Z and LeBron James’ 6th annual Sprite “Two Kings” dinner. The hip-hop mogul and NBA titan dressed in their best and held court with power players in the fields of music, sports, media, and tech at the swanky dinner at RDG + Bar Annie on Saturday night.

While her documentary was airing on HBO, Beyoncé celebrated with her husband and famous friends including Drake, Ne-Yo, Diddy, and Kevin Hart. Guests feasted on a three-course menu including lobster salad, foie gras, prime rib, and red snapper, and danced to music by DJ Mick Boogie.

Drake, Alicia Keys, & 2 Chainz Attend Slam Dunk Contest

The stars packed the Toyota Center in Houston for the NBA All-Star Saturday Night festivities during All-Star Weekend. Sunday’s All-Star Game halftime performer Alicia Keys made it a family affair, sitting courtside with her husband Swizz Beatz and son Egypt, who is an avid basketball fan.

A passionate Drake awarded a 10 to Toronto Raptors’ Terrence Ross, who went on to win the Sprite Slam Dunk contest.

2 Chainz got turnt up on stage with Fall Out Boy, Nick Cannon hosted, and Monica played correspondent for NBA.com. Following his performance, 2 Chainz snapped some pics with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

Other courtside sightings included Diddy, Irv Gotti, and Spike Lee.

2 Chainz Rocks With Fall Out Boy at NBA All-Star Saturday Night

From the Grammys to the All-Star Game. 2 Chainz rocked the court with Fall Out Boy on NBA All-Star Saturday Night in Houston. The Grammy-nominated rapper joined Pete Wentz and the reunited band to perform their new single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up).”

Rocking a camouflage Kobe Bryant jersey (which he later had the NBA star sign), he debuted a new verse as the Slam Dunk participants were introduced.

In addition to rapping on the song, 2 Chainz can be seen playing a pyromaniac in the accompanying video.

Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Drake, Trey Songz, & Nas Invade Houston for NBA All-Star Weekend

Following last weekend’s Grammys, the stars migrated from L.A. to Houston for NBA All-Star Weekend. Beyoncé returned to her native H-town with Jay-Z to celebrate Michael Jordan’s 50th birthday at the Museum of Fine Arts. A dapper Ludacris and Nas also rubbed elbows with music and sports MVPs at the swanky soirée on Friday.

Across town, Diddy hosted a kickoff party at The Drake with guests including Drake, Trey Songz, and French Montana.

Meek Mill dropped racks at the strip club with Future and Trae Tha Truth, and hit the stage with Fabolous, Pusha T, and DJ Drama. “#real #flyest #respected ni**as in da game #houston the life is so exciting!” said the MMG MC.
