Beyoncé Celebrates with Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child Backstage at Super Bowl

Destiny's Child

What did Beyoncé do after slaying the stage at the Super Bowl? She celebrated with her loved ones, of course. After coming off the field, a smiling Bey ran into the arms of her husband Jay-Z backstage at the Superdome, and the sweet moment was captured on Instagram.

Baddie Bey took to her own Instagram account to share a black-and-white photo of her with Kelly and Michelle holding hands and jumping in the air, and another of her with a hood on moments before taking the stage. The ladies hid themselves under cloaks in order to keep their reunion a surprise.

Mrs. Carter also posted a heartfelt note to her fellow Super Bowl XLVII performers Kelly, Michelle, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson, toasting their monumental day.

“What a proud day for African American women!!!!” she wrote. “It was an honor to perform at the Super Bowl with you phenomenal ladies.”

See more candid photos from Bey’s big day below.

Beyoncé Earns Rave Reviews for Super Bowl Halftime Show

Destiny's Child

The Ravens weren’t the only big winners at Super Bowl XLVII. Beyoncé scored a touchdown with her fans, critics, and peers with her show-stopping halftime set at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday.

The verdict was unanimous—everyone from her sister Solange to former Destiny’s Child diva LeToya Luckett to First Lady Michelle Obama raved about the performance. Even rappers including Fabolous, Diddy, and Machine Gun Kelly were stanning for King Bey.

Her proud hubby Jay-Z, who doesn’t tweet often, returned to Twitter to praise Mrs. Carter: “Lights out!!! Any questions??” he wrote.

But not everyone had nice things to say. While she gave props to Beyoncé, Keyshia Cole called out Michelle Williams for her part during the Destiny’s Child medley. “Then Michell sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always fuckN the groove up,” wrote the blunt songstress.

See the glowing reactions from Twitter.

Beyoncé Performs at Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show [Video]

Beyoncé

Beyoncé entered the history books alongside Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna when she headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans on Sunday, becoming only the third female solo act to do so.

After months of preparations, the 31-year-old superstar invaded the field with a dazzling set complete with fireworks, an army of female dancers, and some very special guests.

Dressed in a black leather leotard, she opened her 12-minute set with “Love On Top” followed by “Crazy in Love,” delving into her catalog of hits including “End of Time” and “Baby Boy.”

And despite denials from her Destiny’s Child bandmates, she reunited with Kelly and Michelle for a medley of DC classics including “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women.” The girls stuck around for “Single Ladies” before B shut it down with “Halo” as the stadium lit up with blue lights.

“Thank you for this moment. God bless ya’ll,” said King B moments before the power went out at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

If you somehow missed the spectacle, watch the Beyoncé Bowl below.
