Lil Wayne Gets Wacky in ‘Senile’ Video

Lil Wayne

Welcome to the wacky world of Lil Wayne. The rapper went in front of the lens to shoot a crazy video for the Young Money single “Senile” with Nicki Minaj and Tyga in L.A. on Tuesday.

Young Money president Mack Maine shared a couple photos from the strange set. It’s hard to tell exactly what is happening, but the concept is sure to be wild.

Weezy appears to be on a family vacation, sporting a colorful star-print shirt as he poses against a mountain backdrop alongside his adopted family, all decked out in yellow. The mother of the group rests her head on his shoulder, while he puts bunny ears on the girl next to him.

The Young Money compilation, Rise of an Empire, is expected to sell 30-35,000 copies in its first week, according to HITS Daily Double.

Behind the Video: Trevor Jackson f/ B.o.B – ‘Drop It (Remix)’

Trevor Jackson and B.o.B

Trevor Jackson scored a hit—and a McDonald’s commercial—with his R&B banger “Drop It,” and now he’s back for round two. The 17-year-old singer teamed up with his Atlantic Records labelmate B.o.B while shooting the remix video in L.A. With director Mike Ho once again at the helm, Trevor busted out some slick choreography in a warehouse.

It was only his second time meeting the Hustle Gang rapper. “We just clicked,” said Trevor. “Our chemistry was good on-camera and he just brought a whole new element to the video, so I’m thankful that he was able to make it out here.”

Whereas the original video was more concept-driven, the remix video is pure visual. “I wanted to take my photography and make it move,” said Ho. “You’re gonna see more chemistry and more performance-driven [scenes], but beautiful shots.”

B.o.B was happy to be part of the production. “I just feel honored to be in the presence of such talent,” he said.

Check out some exclusive behind-the-scenes footage below and tune in to BET’s “106 & Park” on Wednesday for the premiere.

Rick Ross and Jeezy Join Forces in ‘War Ready’ Video

Rick Ross and Jeezy

Rick Ross and Jeezy put their beef aside and went in front of the cameras to shoot a video for their collaboration “War Ready” during NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. Gun shots rang out as the hip-hop titans turned a warehouse into a violent battlefield in the TAJ-directed clip.

“History. Bet that,” tweeted TAJ.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Rozay spoke about squashing their beef. “We had past differences and we put that to the side being true bosses to do something big for the culture, which is bigger than both of us,” he said.

They made headlines for their scuffle at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, but it’s all in the past. “We never really personally had an issue,” he explained. “Real bosses get over that and that’s what we did, and I’m happy we was able to do that and set the examples for some of the younger bosses that’s coming up.”

The Mike WiLL Made It-produced single will appear on Ross’ upcoming album Mastermind, which also features Kanye West, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Meek Mill, and Scarface.

Watch them make peace on set of “War Ready.”
