Ariana Grande

After topping the iTunes singles chart with the Big Sean-assisted “Best Mistake,” Ariana Grande surprises her Arianators with the video for “Break Free” featuring Zedd.

The pop crusader explores a galaxy far, far away in the futuristic clip, which was inspired by Barbarella and Star Wars. “It’s inspired by Jane Fonda in Barbarella and Star Wars and space,” Ariana told Ryan Seacrest. “It’s more throwback, campy.”

Her sophomore album My Everything drops August 25 featuring The Weeknd, A$AP Ferg, and Childish Gambino, plus the Iggy Azalea-assisted hit “Problem” and “Bang Bang” with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J.

The day before her album release, Ariana will perform “Break Free” at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards in L.A.

Video: Fences f/ Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – ‘Arrows’

Fences

The rise and the fall. Macklemore chronicles his journey in the cinematic video for “Arrows,” the lead single from Seattle artist Fence’s upcoming debut Less Oceans.

Directed by Jason Koenig and award-winning photographer John Keatley, the visually-stunning clip was shot in Seattle over the course of a week.

“From a day dream to a warehouse. This is video is my entire aesthetic embodied,” said Fences’ Christopher Mansfield. “I lost a friend and found love and was killed by an arrow. I hope you all get lost in the world we built.”

Macklemore added, “This music video was our baby. And we raised that baby. We put hella time, love, and energy into that kid of ours. Dozens of all-nighters and studio sleep overs to make sure that kid was the best it could be before we put it out into the world, gave the kid some shoes and told our child to run. Run into the world. Show them who you are. You deserve to be free, baby.”

Lesser Oceans arrives October 14.
