Mixtape Cover: The Game – ‘OKE’


The Game is back in mixtape mode. On Tuesday night, the Compton rapper will release his mixtape OKE (Operation Kill Everything). He has revealed the cover art, which shows him sitting amongst a pile of destruction.

After starring on a second season of his VH1 reality show “Marrying The Game,” Game returns to the mic with his first mixtape since 2012′s California Republic.

On the evening of its release, he will also make an appearance on AXS TV’s “Skee Live.”

Game has been giving back as part of his Robin Hood Project and is working on the follow-up to last year’s Jesus Piece, due in 2014.

Album Cover: Lady Gaga – ‘ARTPOP’


Lady Gaga unveils the cover for her third album ARTPOP. She debuted the Jeff Koons-designed artwork via a billboard in Times Square on Monday. A naked sculpture of Gaga grabs her breasts while covered by a Jeff Koons gazing ball. Botticelli’s Birth of Venus painting can be seen in the collage behind her.

“I’m nervous&excited to share something that’s such a piece of my heart. Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his,” tweeted Gaga.

The album is due Nov. 11 featuring the hit single “Applause,” plus the tracks “Manicure,” “Swine,” “Sex Dreams,” and “Jewels and Drugs” featuring Too $hort, T.I., and Twista.

M.I.A. Reveals ‘Matangi’ Cover, Tracklisting


A day after waging war against the NFL, M.I.A. unveils the fiery cover for her fourth album Matangi. The controversial singer-rapper hypnotizes with her red eyes and hair on the digitally-altered image.

The follow-up to 2010′s /\/\/\Y/\, described as “Paul Simon on acid,” arrives Nov. 5 featuring production from Surkin, Switch, Danja, Hit-Boy, and M.I.A.

She has been releasing tracks throughout the year including “Come Walk With Me,” “Bring the Noize,” and “Only 1 U.”

TLC Unveils Cover, Tracklisting for New Album ‘20’


On Oct. 15, TLC will celebrate their 20-plus year legacy with their greatest hits album 20 (LaFace/Epic Records). The best-selling female group has revealed the cover and tracklisting for the project, which features 13 of their biggest hits including their four No. 1 singles “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty,” plus a new track written by Ne-Yo, “Meant to Be.”

The latter will be heard during the closing credits of the upcoming VH1 Original Movie, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which inspired the tracklisting for 20.

The made-for-TV film, which stars Keke Palmer as Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Drew Sidora as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, and Lil Mama as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, will premiere Oct. 21 on VH1.

To promote the album and movie, Chilli and T-Boz will appear on “Good Morning America” on Oct. 15, “The View” on Oct. 16, and “The Wendy Williams Show” on Oct. 17.

In addition to their greatest hits collection, TLC is working on a full album with all-new material to be released in 2014.

Album Cover: Eminem – ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’

Eminem goes back to his roots with the artwork for his upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The cover is a vintage photo of his former home on Dresden St. in Detroit where he spent his teenage years.

He asked his Twitter followers a trivia question and the first person to answer it correctly was given the artwork to spread across the Internet.

One of the covers for his 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP featured a different photo of the same house (see below).

MMLP2, executive produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin, arrives Nov. 5 featuring the single “Berzerk.”

Miley Cyrus Goes Topless for Alternate ‘Bangerz’ Cover


Miley Cyrus is going nude again. The “We Can’t Stop” singer strips down on the alternate cover for her album Bangerz. The topless version is one of five for the deluxe edition of the album, due Oct. 8. The other four will be available at retail locations.

Fans can vote online for their favorite cover starting today. The winning cover will be revealed on Oct. 14 and become the official deluxe artwork.

Miley scored her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with her single “Wrecking Ball.”

Bangerz features appearances from Britney Spears, Big Sean, Future, Nelly, and French Montana, along with production from Mike WiLL Made It, Pharrell, Da Internz, Planet VI, Stacy Barthe, and Sam Hook.
