Drake, Rick Ross Toast with DJ Khaled in ‘No New Friends’ Video

DJ Khaled made another movie with his friends on Wednesday. The Cash Money DJ held court on set of his flashy video for “No New Friends,” the first single off his upcoming album Suffering From Success.

The YMCMB crew took over a mansion in Miami with some video vixens and briefcases full of cash, making it rain for the cameras. Twelve-time BET Awards nominee Drake rocked a throwback Dada outfit, while Rozay and Khaled popped Belaire Rosé champagne. Ace Hood and Birdman stopped by to make cameos in the Colin Tilley-directed clip.

Album Cover: Wale – ‘The Gifted’

The Gifted

As he gets closer to the release of his third album The Gifted on June 25, Wale unveils the artwork. The Maybach Music rapper illustrates the different aspects that make up his life including his hometown of D.C., money, women, and faith. A stone bust of his face appears on the cover, designed by tattoo artist Mister Cartoon.

The album’s first single “Bad” featuring Tiara Thomas is currently No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the follow-up “LoveHate Thing” will premiere on Monday.

He has also recorded a mysterious collaboration with Rihanna.

Dawn Richard Starts a ‘Riot’ in New Video

Amidst Danity Kane reunion rumors, Dawn Richard filmed a video for “Riot,” the next single off her solo debut Goldenheart.

The video picks up where “’86″ left off and marks the second chapter in her visual choreography film (The third chapter will be “Northern Lights”). In the video, the leader of the Hearts prepares for battle, dressed in her warrior princess gear, as she performs with her troupe of dancers.

“Dance is the narrator of this visual story,” says Dawn. “The fashion and image look this way because it is an ongoing story.”

Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, & Tamar Braxton Announce BET Awards Nominations

BET called on some of its famous friends to announce the nominees for the BET Awards ’13 in downtown L.A. on Tuesday. Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, and Tamar Braxton were on hand, along with this year’s host Chris Tucker and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Charlie Wilson.

Kendrick, who scored eight nominations, read off half the nominees and kept going before he realized he was reading BET executive Stephen Hill’s speech, making for a funny moment.

A blond and tatted Breezy spoke about performing at the show and revealed that Aaliyah is featured on his new single, “They Don’t Know.”

A pregnant Tamar Braxton, who received two nominations including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, announced that her album Love and War is due in September on Epic Records.

The BET Awards ’13 will air live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on June 30. Drake leads with 12 nominations including five in the coveted Video of the Year category. For a full list of nominees, click here.

J. Cole’s mom held down a job at the post office to afford him an education, Ashanti, Chrisette Michele, and Christina Milian’s mothers also act as their managers, and Mariah’s opera singer mom passed on her multi-octave pipes.

In honor of the holiday, Rihanna shouted out the leading lady in her life. “Happy Mother’s Day beautiful!! What a lucky little bitch I am to have come from you!” the “Pour It Up” singer told Mama Fenty. “I am who I am because that’s all I’ve known!! Thank you for all that you’ve endured to make sure I got here, with a smile!! I could never repay you, you’re PRICELESS!!! My gem!!!”

RiRi’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Chris Brown also saluted his mother, who’s been there through the ups and downs. “I wanna praise the woman who created me! ‘Momma Joyce’ happy Mother’s Day . Thank u for always letting me be creative and dream!Love you mom,” tweeted Breezy.

Big Sean Escapes to Hawaii with Girlfriend Naya Rivera

Kanye West may have Kim Kardashian, but Big Sean also has a hot girlfriend of his own. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper brought his boo Naya Rivera of “Glee” fame with him to Hawaii while he worked. The happy couple enjoyed a luau with their friends on the beach. During their trip, they also visited some young patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Honolulu.

“Me and a few gee’s… We’re working the whole time in Hawaii so I’m glad we had 1 night to kick it,” tweeted Sean, who has a show tonight at Aloha Tower.

His sophomore album Hall of Fame is still awaiting a release date, but it promises features from Nas, Jhené Aiko, and Miguel.

Naya, who is working on an album of her own, recently spoke about her relationship with the Detroit MC. “He’s awesome and I’m really happy and I feel like I’m in a really good place in my life. So yeah, we’re doing really well!” she told E! Online.
