The 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards were taped on Saturday at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta, GA. T.I., 50 Cent, Ciara (above), Pharrell, Big Boi, Salt-N-Pepa, T-Pain, Keri Hilson (above), Monica, Ice Cube, Yung Joc, Soulja Boy, Flo Rida, Russell Simmons, and MC Lyte were among those spotted on the red carpet.

BET held their inaugural BET Honors in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. Honorees included Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks, Time Warner board chairman Richard D. Parsons, and Princeton professor Cornel West. Performers included John Legend, Wyclef Jean and Niia, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder.

According to USA Today, Michael Jackson was a scheduled guest/honoree, but he pulled out of the event. Ne-Yo was left performing for Jackson without his idol being in the audience.

Jay-Z celebrated the grand opening of his 40/40 Club at The Palazzo Resort & Casino in Las Vegas with a star-studded event that included everyone from Beyoncé and Mary J. Ciara dazzles in red at the 30th Kennedy Center Honors at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. last night.

Beyoncé did “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” Nicole Scherzinger performed “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” Mary J. Blige performed “As Time Goes By” with John Legend, Usher did “Singing in the Rain,” Chris Brown got his Elvis on with “Jailhouse Rock,” Queen Latifah performed “Big Spender,” and Jennifer Hudson sung her rendition of “Somewhere.” More photos after the jump.
