With Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz recently welcoming a bundle of joy, could Beyoncé and Jay-Z be next? The pop sensation is reportedly pregnant with the couple’s first child, according to Us Weekly.

The story, which appears on the cover of the magazine’s new issue, identifies a source close to the 29-year-old singer who claims that B is in her first trimester and was caught off guard by the unexpected pregnancy.

“B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn’t ready to be a mother just yet,” says the unidentified source. “She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again.”

The Grammy-winning superstar previously announced that she would take a break in 2010 to focus on her personal life after years of relentlessly touring and recording, although she recently returned to the studio to start her next album.

“It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,” she told USA Today. “I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again.”

Representatives for the couple have not addressed the reports.

UPDATE: Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles has denied the pregnancy rumors. “No, it’s not true,” she told Ellen DeGeneres. “Not right now.”

Hip-hop power couple Ashanti and Nelly are reportedly going their separate ways.

The New York Daily News reports that the lovers split because Ashanti wanted to get married, while Nelly wasn’t ready to settle down. The “Country Grammar” rapper was rumored to be seen with model-actress Melyssa Ford in Las Vegas and Miami.

Ashanti and Nelly began dating nearly six years ago. “I met her at the MTV [Video Music] Awards one year,” Nelly told Rap-Up in 2008. “And we just exchanged numbers and we started talking and stuff like that, and we just started hanging out.”

When asked about marriage at the time, he said, “Right now, we not thinking about that. It’s just all about the work.”

No official confirmation has been made from either camp.

One of music’s most high-profile couples, Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri, have reportedly called it quits.

Us Weekly reports that the superstar and music mogul have ended their relationship after nearly seven years. “His friends are telling people it’s over,” says an insider. “They have been moving in different directions for a while,” adds another source.

J.D. was noticeably absent from Michael Jackson’s memorial in Los Angeles on July 7. The two have not been publicly seen together for quite some time.

Jermaine produced several tracks for Janet’s last two albums. He even brought her over from Virgin Records to Island Def Jam before both parted ways with the label.

“You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure,” a mutual pal explains. “Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate.”

Adding to that, the couple were opposites. “Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet’s more shy.”

Janet has been spending time in L.A. with her family after her brother’s passing, while J.D., who recently got a tattoo of the singer as the Virgin Mary, has been DJing events across the country.

Usher and his wife Tameka Foster have reportedly called it quits.

In Touch Weekly is reporting that the couple has separated after nearly two years of marriage. “The Grammy winner has been living apart from his wife for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage,” an insider tells the magazine. “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.”

The divorce papers were filed in Atlanta on Thursday morning (June 11), according to In Touch.

The couple got married in the summer of 2007. Foster was the stylist for Usher. They have two sons together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months.

No official confirmation of their separation has been made at this time.

Rihanna and Drake have denied rumors of a romantic relationship, but a new sighting of the young stars suggests otherwise.

The “Umbrella” hitmaker and “Best I Ever Had” rapper were photographed partying together at the album release for the Black Eyed Peas’ The E.N.D. on Wednesday at The Griffin in New York City, according to TMZ.

Drake has refuted anything more than a friendship with Rihanna. They were reportedly seen making out on May 18 at Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge in Manhattan. To add to the rumors, Drake said, “Shout out to Rihanna. I love you, baby,” while performing at a show in Toronto last month.

This comes a day after the Barbados singer was subpoenaed to testify in the assault case against Chris Brown on June 22.

While others may hold their tongues in the presence of greatness, Pink is making her thoughts about Kanye West perfectly clear.

The fur reportedly flew when Pink attended Stella McCartney’s Paris fashion show with the vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Kanye. “The entire time Kanye is going, ‘They need more fur in this show,’” Pink told Britain’s The Sun. “He just wouldn’t shut up about how he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy, and Paul McCartney!”

The “So What” singer is an avid PETA supporter and didn’t hold back her feelings about the fashionable rapper. “Kanye West is the person pissing me off right now,” she said. “I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot!’ There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him.”

Pink’s advice for Mr. West? “Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”

Asher Roth loves to party, just not with Lindsay Lohan.

The actress drove from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara to see Asher perform at a concert at the University of California, Santa Barbara, on Saturday, May 16. But the “I Love College” rapper just wasn’t that into her, according to the New York Daily News.

“Lindsay was bugging both Asher and his management team to get onstage during ‘She Don’t Wanna Man,’ but Asher was so annoyed by her requests that he actually skipped performing the single,” says an insider.

Lindsay tweeted about the incident, but later removed the post. “Wow,” she remarked. “Asher was cocky to all my friends and not that nice.”

Witnesses claim to have seen her kissing 22-year-old rapper-singer Drake. “She was drinking whiskey and apple juice and making out with him all night,” says a spy. “They were really cute together.” She left with Drake around midnight.

Aubrey Graham, better known as Drake, acted on the teen drama “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and is signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money imprint. The Canadian artist’s mixtape single “Best I Ever Had” is receiving heavy airplay and he is already one of the most-talked-about new artists of 2009.

The New York Daily News claims that the producer-rapper, 30, is finally confirming that he and Alicia, 28, are an item. According to the newspaper, Swizzy says he’s in love with her and that she even threw him a birthday party at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

Swizz, born Kasseem Dean, raised eyebrows when he freestyled about an unnamed woman on the remix to Drake’s “Best I Ever Had.”

Swizz recently produced “World’s Greatest,” a song for Noah Mushimiyimana, an African artist supported by Alicia’s Keep a Child Alive organization. Alicia and Noah appeared on last week’s “American Idol” to debut the charity single.

Rihanna is about to take the fashion world by storm again. If reports are to be believed, the pop star will make her first red carpet appearance since her fight with Chris Brown at tonight’s Met Costume Ball.

According to designer Marc Jacobs, the 21-year-old will be in New York City tonight for the gala, where clothing designers and celebrities come together.

The Barbados beauty has shied away from the media since appearing at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy celebration on Feb. 8, the same night as her altercation with Brown.
