Video: Fabolous – ‘Lituation’

Loso gets lit in the ’90s-themed video for “Lituation,” the first single off The Young OG Project. In the cinematic clip, which was inspired by the 1990 crime thriller King of New York, the Brooklyn spitter puts his acting skills to the test as he channels Christopher Walken’s drug lord character Frank White.

Fabolous’ sixth album The Young OG Project arrives at digital retailers on Christmas Day.

“The album is not really just telling a story, but it’s having a lot of fun,” he said of the follow-up to 2009′s Loso’s Way. “It’s very ’90s-inspired and themed, a lot of flips and beats from the ’90s are on there.”

Video: Jessie J – ‘Masterpiece’

Jessie J is perfectly incomplete in the video for her girl power anthem “Masterpiece,” the third single off her album Sweet Talker.

A makeup-free Jessie wakes up in her L.A. hotel room and shares grainy Instagram-like footage from her day. She jumps in her BMW and heads to the set for a photo shoot and mingles with fans, who know all the words to her new song.

“I still fall on my face sometimes, and I can’t color inside the lines / ‘Cause, I’m perfectly incomplete / I’m still working on my masterpiece,” she sings.

Sweet Talker, which debuted at No. 10 in the U.S., has spawned the Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande-assisted hit “Bang Bang” and “Burnin’ Up” featuring 2 Chainz.

Video: K. Michelle – ‘Something About the Night’

K. Michelle channels jazz legend Billie Holiday in the 1920s-themed video for “Something About the Night,” one of the cuts off her new album Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?

After having a few too many drinks, the R&B songstress hits the stage and gives the audience a show they won’t forget. The guys can’t take their eyes off her, but backstage, K unravels and lashes out at her manager, who’s using her to get paid.

“I’m the star! They came to see me. This is my show!” declares a drunk K before falling to the floor.

Video: J. Cole – ‘Apparently’

Apparently

Fresh off the release of 2014 Forest Hills Drive, J. Cole drops a visual for the first release “Apparently,” which follows last week’s “Intro” clip. The Fayetteville MC stands in front of a projection screen, while reflecting on his childhood and his homecoming.

“This is my canvas, I’ma paint it how I want it,” raps Cole.

The album, which can be streamed here, is expected to sell 240-270k in its first week.

It has already earned praise from critics and his peers. “Wowwwww this album is a classic!!!!!!!!!” said Timbaland.

Tune in to “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Wednesday for a performance from Cole.

Video: Majid Jordan – ‘Her’

Majid Jordan

While Drake dominates the headlines, his fellow Canadians and OVO Sound signees Majid Jordan drop a video for “Her” off July’s five-track EP A Place Like This. The duo, consisting of Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, brings us into their monochromatic world in the slick clip, directed by Common Good.

The singer and producer, who met at the University of Toronto, contributed to Drake’s hit “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and Beyoncé’s “Mine.”

In July, Majid Jordan premiered a video for the title track “A Place Like This.”

Video: Tyga – ‘Make It Work’

Kingin. Tyga lives large in the self-directed video for “Make It Work.” The Last Kings chief takes it from the streets of L.A. to the sky, while chilling on his private jet with a leopard and piles of cash. He hits the club and makes off with a briefcase full of money after a game of poker with some mafia types.

The video co-stars Drake’s ex Dollicia Bryan, while the song includes the controversial lyric: “Ni**a never was my homie, all these bitches know you corny.”

Tyga has thrown his support behind his Young Money boss Lil Wayne after his fallout with Cash Money. He retweeted Weezy and wrote, “@LilTunechi is LEGEND.”

Starting next month, he will join Chris Brown and Trey Songz on their “Between the Sheets Tour.”

Tyga has also shot a video for the Kanye West-produced “40 Mill,” and will release The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty on his own label in early 2015.

Video: Wu-Tang Clan – ‘A Better Tomorrow’

A Better Tomorrow

With their new album A Better Tomorrow in stores, Wu-Tang Clan takes a stand with the powerful visuals for the title track. In light of current events, the hip-hop collective puts together a tribute with the hopes of inspiring change and promoting unity throughout the world.

The four-and-a-half-minute montage includes sound bites from President Obama and footage of protestors marching in the streets—from Ferguson to Times Square to Beverly Hills—with signs that read, “Black lives matter” and “Dismantle the racist system!” At the end, they list the names of victims of police violence.
