Nicki Minaj Performs ‘Bed of Lies’ on ‘Today’

Nicki Minaj

After her appearance on “Ellen,” Nicki Minaj continued her Pinkprint promo tour with a visit to “Today” on Tuesday, where she spoke about impersonating Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian on “SNL.”

“I had so much fun,” she said. “I really, really enjoyed doing Beyoncé because I didn’t know that I could actually get that tone of voice until I tried it, and then I was in love with it.”

Bey didn’t comment on her spoof, but did wish her a happy birthday a few days later. “So I figured she wasn’t upset, and I did her justice,” said Nicki.

She hopes to do more comedic acting in the future. “People seemed to like it,” she said. “So maybe that’s my new calling.”

Her new album The Pinkprint is her most personal yet. “This is a more vulnerable me, and to write vulnerable records is very scary,” she explained. “You’re putting out a lot of personal information just to the world, and you don’t always know how people are going to receive it. And once you’ve given it to them, you can’t take it back.”

Plus, Nicki hit the stage with Skylar Grey to perform her single “Bed of Lies.”

She will also appear on “The Tonight Show” tonight and visit “Watch What Happens Live” and “The Real” later in the week.
