Mike Posner puts on for his city in the video for his new single “Top of the World.” In the 30-second trailer, the 25-year-old crooner returns to Detroit with his friend and fellow D-town native Big Sean.

The clip includes shots of Ford Field, home to the Lions, and a cameo from Detroit Red Wings player Pavel Datsyuk. Mike, Sean, and their crew stand in front of the “Finally Famous” mural at Dexter Check Cashing.

The song, produced by Diplo and Benny Blanco, will appear on Mike’s sophomore album Pages, due in 2014.

Justin Bieber Debuts ‘Believe’ Movie Trailer


It’s going to be a very merry Christmas for Justin Bieber fans. On Dec. 25, Believe, the sequel to the pop superstar’s 2011 movie Never Say Never, will hit theaters. The full theatrical trailer shows the teen idol’s rise from YouTube sensation to global superstar, and the obstacles he’s encountered along the way.

“When you’ve reached a certain point in your life, there are people out there waiting to see you fall,” says the 19-year-old singer. “But rather than let gravity take you down, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands—and fly.”

He opens up about his altercation with a paparazzo (“I really wanted to hit him, that’s what they wanted”), his swag (“Sometimes I walk the way I walk, I waddle, because my pants are too low”), and provides some encouraging words to his fans (“Believe you can do anything if you set your mind to it”).

The movie, directed by Jon M. Chu, also includes commentary from Usher, his manager Scooter Braun, and his mother, who tells him to pull his pants up.

After riding out with Meek Mill in the video for “I B On Dat,” Nicki Minaj heads to the islands with Mavado on their collaboration “Give It All to Me.” The dancehall star throws a party by the water with some bikini-clad babes, a blonde Nicki, and plenty of champagne.

Drake Rolls Out ‘Nothing Was the Same’ Trailer


With just two weeks to go until his album Nothing Was the Same arrives, Drake is pulling out all the stops. In a 30-second promo, a motorcade of black and white luxury vehicles including a Maybach, Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Range Rover, make their way down the street in Toronto with the Canadian flag waving from the mirrors. A vanity plate with “C Papi” is displayed on the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

While Drake does not appear in the clip, you can hear a new song in the background. The triumphant tune was produced by Hit-Boy.

Nothing was the Same arrives Sept. 24 featuring the singles “Started From the Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home” (see the tracklisting).

In anticipation for his upcoming “What Dreams May Come Tour” with Wale, J. Cole debuts a dark and cinematic trailer for the trek. Cole has an out-of-body experience as he lies dead on the floor in a scene inspired by the 1998 drama What Dreams May Come.

The North American tour kicks off on Sept. 10 in Miami, traveling to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas, before wrapping October 30 in Seattle, WA.

Jay Z Brings ‘Made in America’ Documentary to Showtime

On the eve of the second “Made in America” festival, Jay Z has found a home for his documentary. Showtime has acquired Made in America, a film that chronicles the hip-hop mogul’s inaugural Philadelphia music festival.

Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) is in the director’s chair, while Jay Z, Howard, and Brian Grazer serve as executive producers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will make its television debut on Friday, Oct. 11 following its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 7.

The documentary features performances and interviews with artists including Kanye West, Rita Ora, Run–D.M.C., Odd Future, Pearl Jam, and more.

Jennifer Hudson Stars in ‘Winnie Mandela’ Biopic [Trailer]

Jennifer Hudson’s Winnie Mandela is finally coming to the big screen. The Oscar-winning actress plays the ex-wife of Nelson Mandela in the T.D. Jakes-presented biopic, which was filmed in spring 2010.

The movie follows the life of the political activist as she grows up in South Africa, marries Mandela (played by Terrence Howard), and campaigns for his release from prison.

J-Hud also stars in the holiday musical drama Black Nativity, due in November, and has been in the studio with RedOne, Salaam Remi, and Pharrell working on her third album.

Winnie Mandela opens in U.S. theaters on September 6. Watch the official trailer below.
