New Music: Machine Gun Kelly f/ Pusha T & Meek Mill – ‘Peso’

Machine Gun Kelly puts on for his city on his hustler’s anthem “Peso,” a collaboration with Pusha T and Meek Mill. The Cleveland rapper goes hard over a sped-up sample of Aloe Blacc’s “I Need a Dollar.”

MGK originally announced that the song would serve as the first single off his mixtape Black Flag.

“It’s a joint that makes you want to get up and go to work,” he told Rap-Up.com.

New Music: The Lonely Island f/ Solange – ‘Semicolon’

The Lonely Island takes us to grammar school with the latest release in their Wack Wednesdays series. The comedic rap trio enlists Solange for the ridiculous, yet hilarious “Semicolon.”

“When it comes to punctuation, you know we’re number one,” sings Solo as the guys spit some comical lines. “And to the people of every nation/ Feel the power of the semicolon.”

The Wack Album is due June 11 featuring Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, T-Pain, Kendrick Lamar, and more.

Melanie Fiona Covers Biggie’s ‘One More Chance’

In honor of his birthday, Melanie Fiona pays homage to the Notorious B.I.G. by covering “One More Chance / Stay with Me Remix.” The Canadian songbird sits in front of her computer and performs the 1995 classic in the third installment of her cover series. As the sun rises, she throws on her Brooklyn Nets cap and raps the lyrics, while belting out the Faith Evans hook.

“R.I.P. BIG… Here’s to celebrating your life,” tweeted Melanie, who has covered Drake’s “Started From the Bottom” and Wale’s “Bad” in the past.

Jessie J Performs New Single ‘Wild’ Acoustic

Just last week, Jessie J announced that “Wild” would serve as the first single off her upcoming sophomore album. Now she teases with an acoustic performance of the song, which features Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal.

“If I go hard let me tell you that it’s worth it/ Play the right cards, I ain’t afraid to work it,” sings the big-voiced Brit. “I just can’t believe that this is my life and my fantasy, we’re running wild.”

She has been working on the follow-up to her 2011 debut with Dr. Luke, Ammo, and Claude Kelly. “Jessie is doing something that right now would probably be unheard of in that she’s not apologizing for big vocals,” Kelly told Rap-Up.com. “It’s a lot of big vocals, a lot of vocal tricks, but still huge pop choruses.”

Ludacris, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, and Amber Rose Attend ‘Fast & Furious 6′ Premiere

Fast & Furious 6 speeds into theaters Friday, but the stars got a first look at the film during the premiere at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City on Tuesday. The cast including Vin Diesel, Ludacris, and Michelle Rodriguez came together to celebrate the sixth installment in the blockbuster franchise.

A tuxedo-clad Ludacris held hands with his girlfriend Eudoxie as he made the red carpet rounds and later put on a show for his fans on the outdoor stage. Wiz Khalifa arrived with his date, Amber Rose, and joined 2 Chainz onstage to perform “We Own It (Fast & Furious),” their contribution to the Fast & Furious 6 soundtrack.

T.I. drops two videos in one week. After tearing up the road with Lil Wayne in the fast and furious video for “Wit Me,” the Hustle Gang boss links with CeeLo Green in the Marc Klasfeld-directed video for “Hello,” the latest single off his album Troubleman.

The King of the South uses the wild west as a metaphor for his own life. On the road to achieving happiness, he faces adversity. He tries to protect his kids, but along the way, a temptress lures him out of his car before bandits steal it. He finally reaches his destination at a saloon, where his wife Tiny, children, and the OMG Girlz await him.

Tracklisting: Kelly Rowland – ‘Talk a Good Game’

Talk a Good Game

The stars are aligning for Kelly Rowland. The R&B diva, who just signed on as a judge for “The X Factor” and will tour with The-Dream this summer, has released the tracklisting for her fourth solo album Talk a Good Game.

The 12-track standard edition includes the Mike WiLL Made It-produced single “Kisses Down Low” and the confessional follow-up “Dirty Laundry,” with appearances from Wiz Khalifa (“Gone”), Pusha T (“Street Life”), and fellow Destiny’s Child divas BeyoncĂ© and Michelle Williams (“You Changed”). The deluxe comes with three more tracks including a duet with The-Dream (“Sky Walker”).

On the production tip, Kelly has enlisted hitmakers including Pharrell, The Runners, Harmony, Danja, Rico Love, Boi-1da, and more.

The music was inspired by classic R&B including New Edition, Pebbles, and Babyface. “[It] feels like everything I wanted to make as far as music and R&B,” Rowland told Billboard. “I wanted to make sure my roots were really pronounced on this album.”

J. Cole Performs ‘Power Trip’ on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’

J. Cole had late night rocking to his sounds when he stopped by “Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday. Joined by The Roots, the Roc Nation MC performed his single “Power Trip,” which is currently No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Cole has moved the release of Born Sinner up a week to compete directly with Kanye West’s Yeezus on June 18.

The album is now available for pre-order on iTunes. The standard edition features 16 tracks, while the deluxe includes 5 additional songs.
