The video is directed by Hype Williams. Visually, it’s striking, but otherwise it’s a sleeper. Reminds me of Busta Rhymes and Janet’s “What’s It Gonna Be?” which Hype also directed. The video is too futuristic for the song. They supposedly spent $3 million dollars on it. Glad Hype finally got rid of the letterbox effect he had been using a lot lately.
