Converse and Mos Def have teamed up to design one of Converse’s most celebrated styles: the Chuck Taylor All Star Mid Music for their fall 2006 collection. Mos incorporated his childhood as a native Brooklynite and was inspired by the underground hip-hop world to design this collection.

The Chuck Taylor All Star Mid Music is a reinterpretation of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker. The body of the shoe is laser etched with famous New York imagery such as the Brooklyn Bridge and his signature is displayed on the tongue.
