OutKast’s Idlewild musical grossed an estimated $5.9 million at the box office to place ninth for Universal Pictures, but it averaged a robust $6,064 at a relatively modest 973 theaters – the best in the top 10. These were the top 10 movies at the box office this weekend:

3. Little Miss Sunshine – $7.5m
4. Beerfest – $6.5m
5. Accepted – $6.4m
6. World Trade Center – $6.3m
7. Step Up – $6.1m
8. Idlewild – $5.9m

10. Barnyard – $5.4m
