Foxy Brown Charged with Assault; Leaves Def Jam for Koch

Foxy Brown has been arrested for hitting her 25-year-old neighbor upside the head with her BlackBerry. The 27-year-old, whose real name is Inga Marchand, turned herself in to NYPD yesterday afternoon to be booked on felony assault, menacing, harassment, and criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned and released on $5,000 bail.
In related news, the “Ill Na Na” is leaving Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam and has inked a deal with Koch Records, where she will release projects through her own Black Rose Entertainment. Foxy will release a street album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva, later this year. No word on whether her studio album Black Roses will ever see the light of day.
