Lil Wayne has supposedly chosen a lead single from his highly anticipated LP Tha Carter III (April). Weezy confirmed to MTV that he will be shooting a video for “Showtime” soon.

After all the mixtape tracks and remixes the collabo king has appeared on over the past couple years, we’ve been wondering what Weezy’s first single would sound like. Looks like he is taking the T-Pain approach with this one. We had high expectations, but after listening to “Showtime,” we really hope this is not Wayne’s official first single.

Note to Universal Records: That Babyface collabo (“Comfortable”) produced by Kanye West would do well on radio.
