Suspect in Hudson Case to Remain in Prison

William Balfour, the convicted felon being held in the killings of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother, and nephew, will remain in prison after authorities say his girlfriend reported seeing him with a gun that matched the murder weapon.
The Illinois Prisoner Review Board decided there was reason to believe that the 27-year-old had violated his parole and will hold him until a December 3rd hearing.
Balfour is the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister, Julia.
