Eminem

After a five-year hiatus, Eminem finds himself back in a familiar place at the top of the charts.

The Detroit rapper’s new single “Crack a Bottle” featuring Dr. Dre and 50 Cent shot to No. 1 this week on the Billboard Hot 100. The song jumped 78-1, setting a digital record for opening week download sales of 418,000.

The first-week total exceeds the prior record of 335,000 downloads set by T.I. and Rihanna for “Live Your Life.” Among all weekly totals, “Crack a Bottle” ranks third behind Flo Rida’s “Low” (467,000) and Lady GaGa’s “Just Dance” (419,000), according to Billboard.com.

Eminem will release his sixth studio album Relapse this year.
