We were officially informed last week that Kid Cudi’s debut album Man on the Moon: Guardian at the Gate would land on Universal Motown, and we now have an official launch date.

The Cleveland MC will release his first project on August 25, has confirmed. He has been in the studio with Travis Barker, Ryan Leslie,, Swizz Beatz, and Just Blaze.

Kanye West’s protégé has a busy summer ahead. In addition to completing his album, Cudi has been included in the lineup at the 2009 Lollapalooza Festival being held Aug. 7-9 at Chicago’s Grant Park. He is also acting in a Mark Wahlberg-produced show for HBO called “How to Make It in America.”

Meanwhile, his first single “Day ‘N’ Nite” is No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
