Jennifer Hudson to Star in Holiday Special

Jennifer Hudson is coming home for the holidays. The Oscar winner will return to her hometown of Chicago for a primetime Christmas special.

Hudson’s ABC music special, “Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” will air in December. According to the network, she will “share childhood memories of the music, people, and places that set the stage for her phenomenal success.”

The hour-long event will feature musical performances filmed on location at the church where she grew up, the music academy where she studied, and other locations throughout the city.

A specific air date and time have yet to be announced.
